Good questions. AFAIK one F-16 was sent in order to minimize detection on radar. I also have read its possible Israelis had a few falcons on Indian territory at the time. As for the nuclear facility it wasn't a "very hardened" nuclear facility it was also built on surface. The point is the falcon could have damaged and impaired the nuclear facility considerably.

There is a strangeness in this reconstruction: if Israel had planned an air strike against a nuclear (presumably very hardened) facility, would have it sent only 1 f-16? Falcons carry at maximum 11bombs, without aa missiles and fuel-tankers,too few in order to disable a nuclear facility.

Good questions. AFAIK one F-16 was sent in order to minimize detection on radar. I also have read its possible Israelis had a few falcons on Indian territory at the time. As for the nuclear facility it wasn't a "very hardened" nuclear facility it was also built on surface. The point is the falcon could have damaged and impaired the nuclear facility considerably.
