Fighting was easy. Hell, you could dodge most of the torpedos pretty easily, and the phasers easily kick the shit outta everything; just make sure you keep your weak side away from the Romulan

1. It's a lot easier to fight if you keep close and use phasers instead of torpedos.

2. You don't even have to fight most of the time. You can just resume your course at any speed (including all stop).
