There are so many songs of Eddie's that his fans would love to hear on Youtube. I love Jerusalem, Jerusalem. I had Eddie autograph that 45 record for me when I saw him in New York at the Palace theater in 1967. The other side is great too...
Came back today August 10th to listen to this fine post and wonderful example of the thrilling vocal talents of Edwin Jack Fisher. Happy number 82, Eddie and many more.
I love this song by Eddie. He did record Jerusalem back in 1969. The flip side was A World Full of Girls, this was one of the last singles Eddie recorded for RCA.
For all the babble in the past about him not being a Sinatra or Bennett, every time I hear his voice it lifts my spirits...He does such a great job on this especially!
Great username. I guess I like it because lime popsicles were my favorite as a boy. Hard to believe this did not chart in the U. S. Thanks to those great Canadians and their good taste. I am wondering if you have another Fisher song on a similar theme called Jerusalem, Jerusalem or Jerusalem of Gold. It is from about the same time and is just wonderful.
Thanks for the link, Carl! I loved the Yiddish song too, made me think of my mom. Yeah I used to like lime popsicles and blue raspberry too, but have become more fond of cherry or pineapple, and various exotic flavors nor available such as mango!!
I remember my mom and her sister going crazy over this song....AND Eddie Fisher. The lyrics of this kinda gives one the feeling to go on when it would be easy to give up!

Funny. Heard about Elizabeth Taylor today and it made me think of Eddie. This is my favourite song by him. Just a great voice.

Tremendous record by Fisher, missed in the US, unfortunately, but scored in Canada and possibly elsewhere.

No matter how much I've tried to study up on music before my time, there's always something like this I've not run into before! Thanks! 5 *
