RI was the worst season in history. It was like watching a major league player playing with a bunch of retarded children. The Russell vs Rob thing was a good idea, but turned out to be completely boring because both tribes were total tools and Rob had no opposition because Russell got voted off.

Russell is the most overated player ever. He had the huge advantage of no one seeing him play before when he was on heroes vs villains. Tyson would have never changed his vote and JT would have never gave him the immunity idol. He would have been gone very early just like in redemption island if not for the players watching him before. His social game is bad and he can never adapt. He would never win survivor..

@ben1ben2ben1 I just watched season 19 again recently. Russell ran that place from day 1. At the merge it was 4 to 9 (or something like that) and Russ orchestrated the greatest comeback game of all time, until it was 3 to 1. Then he one the last challenge. He surley doesnt make any friends but he played the game so hard it was amazing. Like he said, it should be called "The Social Game". Who knows what he would have done if he didnt get ejected so quickly?

If they did he JT never would have given him the idol and Jerri and coach never would have sided with him, also Tyson wouldnt have been so stupid by not splitting the votes. Russel is great and in season 19 he played in my opinion one of the best seasons ever(behind Rob on all stars), But he dosnt have the charisma or charm like Rob to win over people who have seen him play before.

@clbaumer Well im a big Rob fan so i love watching him play. But he is playing so good right now that everything up until final 6 is very predictable. So ya its a little boring knowing who is going every week. Once Julie, Ralf and steve are gone it should get good though (but its still 3 predictable weeks away), we will get to see Rob possibly blindside someone with the idol, the Redemption island returnee, and robs group turning on each other.

personally, i think in season 22 redemption island, rob is the villian.

he steals all the clues to find idols, makes up rumours about the other players to turn them against eachother, and gets people to guard 'his' rice when it's still in the pot. so he's a great strategic guy in this season (but EVIL!)

russel lost pretty early on, but everybody knew what he was doing, so that's why he got voted out.

@BuBu112286 Hmm.. They are both very good strategists. However, Rob, in his first season (Marquesas), barely made it to the merge. He was the first one voted out when the two tribes merged. On the other hand, Russell was one of the final 2 in his first season. That says a lot. Russell's problem is that he's a very agressive player.

There is one main difference between Boston Rob and Russel. Rob, although he would ultimately like to win the title (and money) for himself, is actually a team player. He would do whatever he had to , before the merge, to keep his team strong and help them win. Russel is not a team player. He is out for himself from day one, and even sabotages his own team mates. 2 1/2 more weeks - can't wait. :-)

I'm not sure.I do know that they are on separate teams just like they did on season 11. It will be interesting because season 21 was kind of dull and boring but also interesting as well. Hopefully these people can make the show more interesting and with Russell and Rob back it will definitely get on to a good start, but yeah I would definitely like to see them voted off before the merge though to give the new generation of Survivors a chance to make multiple appearances on future seasons.

This isn't happening next season, because Russell and Rob both said that they were not going back right away. Filming for 22 started in July and they said in an interview back in may that they were not goin back right away. For the record this would be a stupid season, even redemption island is worhtless and would never fly.
