we are friends of a sort as i buy my veggies from he and his family every saturday at the farmers market . he was indeed part of this group you speak of and a very fine fellow i am a gardener myself and would love to visit where they grow. thanks for your interest and i will ask him about 1969.

@rebaisalovesponge If this man is your friend, you have a friend for life. The Hmongs were among the most-loyal friends the USA ever had. Proud, happy tribes from the Vietnamese mountains, they were fierce and clever fighters. We hired them almost as mercenaries and were amazed at their jungle and highland skills. Get yrslf invited to a Hmong wedding if possible and take yr camera ~ you will NEVER see more colors anywhere! Ask him if he knows of Meng Buk in the Annam Tri-Boarder mountains 1969?
