greywhite ....The wind was bad that day even with wind filters on couldn't get away from the sound. Snowshoeing is almost over for me and I can't wait....
Thanks for the great reviews. I am undecided about buying either a Condor 2 or the Falcon 2. Other than the larger size of the Condor, what other comparisons would you make. I can't seem to make my Sabercat quite take enough comfortably. I have seen the Falcon worn along with the Sabercat which might work. What are your thoughts?
1deprat1 ....I really like the Falcon II but since I made the modifications on my Sabercat with the LBE Y Military Suspenders it's my daypack of choice. You can go to my channel and check out the vid and judge for yourself but for me the suspenders made all the difference in the world. Hope this helps a little....Thanks for watching
I've had about 23 lbs. in the Condor and the Falcon before during day hikes that lasted a week each and they performed great. When this vid was made I couldn't tell you the weight in the pack...Any gearslinger larger than Sitka is becomes to heavy when you pack them out...Just too much for one strap with that kind of load...Or it could be just me...Anyway for me the Sitka on down is a comfortable pack....
I may have missed this, but how do you feel about the load-bearing ability of the packs you review? About how many pounds are you carrying? Are the gearslingers comfortable?
Hordesthugz13 ....I really like the Falcon II for the survival to overnight pack....More than one night I would do the Condor II...Thanks for watching...
@cjc5531 Thanks! Awesome Review! I had another quicky question is the pack well ventilated for you're back? so you don't have a block of sweat just on you're back?
Hordesthugz13 ....Thanks...the pack really performed well for me during hot weather and I used this in the South as well. It's pretty well ventilated and you do get air movement around the pack but your still going to sweat, maybe not as bad.
@Hordesthugz13 I am switching to the Condor 2 for a combined EDC and three day bugout bag. I plan to attach a medical kit on the left side, an FR-1 on the right side, and the map case on the back. I will keep a change of clothes in a bag which can be compressed with a vacuum. What I want to achieve is a bag which can carry my laptop, a few notebooks, and two to three text books. I am unsure if I can combine them to do this but I will at least try.
Great review, is it me or are there two versions of the Khaki. The other version has tan zippers instead of the black ones on your video. How do I know which one Im getting?
Thanks...And they do have two zipper colors and it's luck of the draw...If you order you might be able to request the black over the phone...The customer service is really helpful...Take care...
this summer im going on a 4 day hike in the penselvania mountins. do you think it can hold enough for 4 days in i us a comprsion sack for the sleeping bag?
Do you think you would be able to do a review on the vulture 2, with some attachments and gear enough for 3 days. That would be awesome keep up the great work man.
Thanks....It's only water resistant and I have only had it in real light rain and it was fine. I do carry a poncho that would cover myself and the pack...I haven't had it in the heavy rain...
Great video pal. You convinced me. I was going to a NATO rucksack, but how can I not get a Condor now? lol. It is just the right size for short trips, either day or three day. Plenty of room. I also carry the Jumbo Versipac in the woods. Between the two, I should have loads of room. Thanks for the vid and the 360. I was wanting to see someone wearing the Condor. That makes all of the difference. Watch your 6 pal. Happy trails.
Very nice review you did here. If you could buy just one pack, would you get the condor or the falcon? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on using it for school part time and also for one day hiking trips.
This is a pretty nice pack and i've heard a lot of good things about it but do you have any opinions on the Ranger (Bulletproof Backpack) ? Yeah it's twice the price but I respect your opinion and I don't like getting shot.
The Condor II is one of my all time favorites and I would say its the one I use the most. I have seen the ranger in ads and a VID ...didn't care much for the layout or the price. I guess it would depend on your need for the protection and if it's any justification for the price....For what its worth....Take care..
Yeah, it is about twice the price but it is the price of protection. It may be a little overkill and to be honest I have not made a decision but thanks for your thoughts anyway!
I agree...I was at the top of a ridge so I had no wind break usually its not that bad. Just a windy day and a long trip to the park so I shot it anyway....Thanks for the viewing...
need your help! i'm fighting over this pack or camelback hawg for a (ultralight bug out bag) right now i'm using camelbak mule for edc and like it and a crappy molle 3 day for bug out
the two packs are the same price seems like the hawg is a little smaller what do suggest?
I did look a the H.A.W.G. nice pack but the condor would win out for me. I just like all the attachment points for all the extra gear if needed. The material looks to be higher quality on the condor also, once you own one of the maxpedition products you'll see they are built like tanks...Hope this helps good luck..
Nice large pack. Good to see there's a little cover for the water bladder port in case it rains and you've got something other than a water bladder in there. Nice, CJ.
Hey CJ, thanks for the Condor II review. I have the saber cat and love it. But I' want to get a pack. I like the Condor II and the Vulture II packs.
