There have been 3 SuperGaus now contaminating the whole earth:
1) 1957 Kyschtym (UdSSR, most contaminated region on earth, 30 years kept secret), 2) 1986 Chernobyl ( 860.000 death later, according to this book: 'Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and the Environment' published 2011 at the New York Academy of Sciences. The IAEA has been lying 25 years claiming there were only 50 victims). 3) 2011 Fukushima.
Every 1 1/2 years an accident of INES-Level 4 or higher !
What's dangerous about nukes? Maybe you didn't hear about Russia or Three Mile Island? Also, it takes millions of gallons of oil in refineries to produce the uranium. Also, TAX PAYERS pay the insurance for nuclear plants...not the companies who are profiting from them.
No renewables neither savings can replace coal/oil/natgas. This was tried and failed many times. They may contribute but not replace existing energy use. And we need about 5x much to get technological civilization to developing countries.
The only energy resource which can replace fossil fuels is nuclear.
Green Peace is full of it! It would take thousands of square miles of wind farms to replace 1 nuclear power plant, which would kill thosands of raptors and migratory birds every day.

What is dangerous about nuclear energy and nuclear reactors that follow safety and security guidelines and operate on low-enriched uranium?
Also, it is much better to use nuclear weapons fuel for energy needs than to keep nukes in storage.
