  • for me its a fail fail im in europe and max internet speed 1.1 mbps :(

  • what was with that racing game? was he even steering?

  • lol, Defense grid does not need a "high spec" pc to run. These guys love to delude people into thinking that gaming PCs cost thousands. Onlive is built on a solid bedrock of ignorance about PC hardware

  • Can you play all the games available with the controller?

  • So... Is this actually available in the US? Because if it is, then why hasn't it been approved in the uk? They have no reason not to...

  • EA needs to go back to supporting this service. I've heard nothing of Crysis or Battlefield coming to the service, so I'm thinking EA may have pulled out or something.

  • Wow. if only it was actually ON the app store

  • So .... when someone's kid thinks its a great idea to horde the families bandwidth streaming games ... is the rest of the house hold SOL if they want to do anything and be left with reminiscence of dialup modem bandwidth ?

  • I'm still waiting on Apple to open up it's closed market a little for onlive here.

  • @jmd620

  • Can you send me the app the one on iTunes don't play games, I can pay you ;)

  • It's still not released...

  • "But, what is onlive gaming?"

  • You can play this on the go? Onlive has just struck gold.

  • @SiloNova25 If only you have decent speed internet connection 'on the go'. No internet, no games im afraid

  • 5 mbits/s for full HD? im only at 72kb/s.... damn. Need to buy more hamsters.

  • Can't wait until apple agrees with it

  • It's says for me launching games isn't supported on this platform

  • Fuck online

  • Apple didnt approve with OnLive's in game app buying, so they had to agree that there will not be in app purchases. LA Noire will be introduced into touch screen, and im excited about that. Though I will be buying the controller. Patience people. Don't worry it's gonna come out soon.

  • somebody count the number of times he says "you know" in this vid. i lost count around 9034928034982

  • @jmd620 you know, this is how people talk now a days uh, you know. uh, thats all i wanted to say you know. Bye, you know.

  • Tablet Version review and gameplay with Xbox 360 Gamepad! How to use XBOX 360 Gamepad, Review and Gameplay: /watch?v=DjMIOd1SCX0

  • I heard about onlive from game informer last year :) I as amazed because it let you play criysis warhead on your iPhone... I shit you not, it can run games like criysis and bf3 by using cloud gaming... I can't wait until 2017 when the NBN is finished here in aus so that Australia's Internet is finally up to scratch :(

  • :O

  • It ain't compatible with iPad or iOS just yet because off fare share app store problems apparently.

    !!

  • I'm on my iPad 2 right now and that app isn't available and the onlive viewer says this product is not available for this software or some shit. I have iOS 5.1. Someone please help me!!!!

  • this is going too fast. technology that is.

  • So you could play crysis at max setting on a tablet streamed to you...w....t....f O.O

  • Can you use IMAME which is now an official app with this controller?

  • Laggy

  • are the graphics the same as a ps3 or a xbox 360

  • @shahen1212 It depends how powerful ur network is

  • @shahen1212 Yes. I was just playing Assassin's Creed Revelations and it looked exactly like it was running on my PS3.

  • When will this be released for Google TV?

  • @fourzero40 probs not

  • What if your data is capped?

  • ATJEMNHL free 20% off any game for the onlive service there's the code

  • It isnt in the store yet a-holes !!!

  • I'm watching an iPad on my iPad! :D

  • This is a revolutionary perhaps it is time to leave YT , and move Forward.

  • Amazing..

  • NETWORK PROBLEM ON THE IPAD? but seriously, I just downloaded this for my xoom. the games work but the resolution is kind of shitty and its useless without a controller. the touch screen controls are trash and intrusive. and on live isn't ruining the industry. the industry is ruining the industry. if I'm wrong someone explain my error.

  • @qoepdkksmah It's not entirely useless without a controller. Something like 30 games have touch. I just played a lot of Darksiders on my Xoom and it was a lot of fun.

  • save it face with your tab is a bag shit and you know it.old tec

  • this is awsome! i saw dawn of war 2 on there, hope i can play it with my android tablet

  • @Jayweezy sorry my mistake yea I ment to send it to that idiot not you lol

  • There is no onlive app for ipad only viewer

  • WTH there's only OnLive VIEWER on AppStore?

  • @Slider2k Blame apple, they have yet to approve it. For now if you want OnLive for a phone or tablet you have to use Android.

  • It's only for ipad ;(

  • @ReunitePeace777 What do you mean only for ipad? It's not even available for ipad yet. Right now it's only for Android.

  • @philnolan3d check itunes it is out

  • @ReunitePeace777 Are you sure you're not looking at the OnLive Viewer? That's been on itunes for months. I'm pretty sure if it were available for ipad it would be all over the OnLive Fans forum. Not to mention the rest of the internet.

  • @ReunitePeace777

    1. Games cost as much as they nromally would. Assassins Creed is 31.5 GBP, while some games can be less than 3.2 GBP. If you are a PlayPack member, everything is 30% off!

    2. The controller costs about 31.5 GBP. It is available now on the OnLive website

    3. I think you missed the whole point of OnLive ;). There is no downloading! The games stream to you, so NO SPACE AT ALL other than the OnLive app which is quite small.

    Happy Gaming!

  • @RoboTechEd

ya people dont fully understand how this works i dont think.

once cloud computing is more prevalent people will see the benefit

  • @RoboTechEd umm i think you misunderstood me. i want it for my ipod - my pc is terrible and the games would be slow. graphics card is weak

  • 3 urgent questions...

round about how much will these games cost for my ipod?

How much will the controller cost? GBP

How much space will downloads take up? cheers!

  • @ReunitePeace777 They are full games, so they cost full price. However OnLive very often has big sales and give aways, about half of my games were free, the rest were very cheap. The controller is available now at £39.99 ($49.99). There are no downloads aside from the app, the app is like 2MB.

  • Why can I not find this on the app store on my iPhone 3GS??!!!??? I have the latest 5.0.1 iOS, is it the fact I'm in UK? Someone please tell me why I can't get it because I really want this app :-(

  • @chavman08 apple hasn't allowed it yet, they're probably trying to figure out how to get their cut.

  • @philnolan3d Ah right, how come IGN are playing it on an ipad in this video? Im really confused lol

  • @chavman08 Simple, OnLive sent out ipads with a beta version of the app to reviewers. They even said they did this.

  • @philnolan3d Oh haha, thanks for your help man stopped me from going insane thinking my iphone was broken haha :)

  • @themkidswhopown Yup. No multiplayer lag either, as long as the service itself doesnt :)

  • Does it have multiplayer

  • @themkidswhopown Yes, up to 4 controllers can be connected. Of course there is online multiplayer too.

  • Why cant this run on my galaxy s

  • Does the controller work with my Sega Genesis?

  • where is the ios version ?

  • .........ok i installed the app and got a game trial.....it isnt upported on this device.......i knew this was too good to be true

  • you cant play games on ipad app why not??

  • Can't get it on my iPad one :p

  • again pc is the best even this way

  • I was thinking of getting this but i was wondering, do i need to purchase the OnLive Game System, which costs £67, in order to access it on my tablet etc or can i just create an OnLive account, buy some games and play on my tablet?

  • @dylan49ardmore You don't need the system. There's a free app.

  • @GutlessBigBoi haha your an idiot! did u even watch the video it said ios. its still being approved for ios probebly will be on there in a day or two

  • Абалденски !

  • @Jayweezy yea you can I'm watching this on iPad right now dumbass

  • @supermonkey9700 i lol'd

  • @supermonkey9700 I think you mean to send this to GutlessBigBoi dumbass! Having a hard time figuring out how to respond to peoples idiocies are we?

  • WTF IGN! It took me so long to figure out why I couldn't play this on my iPad. The only app you can get on your iPad is still the OnLive viewer (which only allows you to view games not play.)

FYI since IGN seems to have left out a big detail!! This is not available for iPad yet. Right now, this is only available on the Android Market and there is no date indicating when it will release for the apple app store. However, you can play on your Mac or PC.

  • @Jayweezy

Ipad doesnt support flash i thought... therefore, the ipad will never have onlive unless apple adds flash support. I don't even think you can watch youtube videos on the ipad in its current state...

  • @GutlessBigBoi Yes you can watch you tube on iPad. If you read my original comment you will see that I can use the OnLive Viewer app but the OnLive app for playing games is not out yet as advertised in this video with the guy using an iPad to demo the OnLive app ("On iPad) which apparently only exists on the android market for now.

  • @GutlessBigBoi What does flash have to do with anything? OnLive has never used Flash.

  • @Jayweezy You need that box thing

  • Ok, I'm pretty pissed off right now. If apple isn't going to approve the app, the least they could do is tell us

  • I am really confused why there is not more people asking where the hell to find this app. I can only find the viewer so that you can only view games not play. Can anyone please help or indicate that you are having the same issue so that I don't go insane!!?

  • Can you use an online controller??

  • Are you sure it is there

  • where is it in the app store?? i cant find it

  • This is cool and all, but not very practical... Like you need Wi-Fi to play it!? Ok, so if your using Wi-Fi then your probably at home, so why not use OnLive on your computer as opposed to your small smartphone/tablet? Or even over 3/4G, you waste the hell outta your data which equals overages (useless you have Srint or T-Mobile). Other than to so off to your friends, this is pretty useless...

  • MUAHAHA I AM ONE OF THE FEW THAT HAS THIS APP OWO

  • Wow, they show it to us on iPad but it's only out on Android right now...

  • Wens it coming to android?

  • skynet ...(Terminator)

  • This is going to function with ipods?

  • @MenMetal14 No, the screen is to small.

  • UNCHARTED 3 FOR THE WIN !!! EAT DRAKE's BUTT FPS GAMES !!! :p

  • AWWW... ONLY FOR PC GAMES... I SEE...

  • "NETWORK PROBLEMS" wow ign's isp is probably time warner

  • @paparoach247 Time Warner is the best. well at least here in SoCal.

  • 1:55 network problems!

  • Why is the controller still not out I wanna buy it

  • @garrysmoder1 I dunno, maybe the fucking brick & mortar game dealers and used games shops, and anyone who can't afford to pay full-price for video games, which are way over-priced. The game devs would get their money either way. All OnLive is doing is just taking away the physical copy of the game from the gamer to use as they please. If all the retards start to switch over to OnLive; no more lending games to friends; having a safe, physical copy that won't be deleted due to hacks, errors, etc.

  • The hottest app I ever seen I use to dream about stuff like this

  • Is this magic, don't games have to be toned fuck down before you can play on iOS????!!

  • @Mistafixa101 The game isnt really running off the iOS its being run somewhere else and what your seeing is the video stream of it

  • Fuck off Onlive! You guys are ruining the gaming industry and the lives of gamers

  • @TheEndOfLiberty Your a Dickhead!

  • @Cerrelious7 You're a naive, little brat that doesn't know anything about how business or industry works. Or how the video game industry is becoming over-saturated with crap and is exponentially inflating it's prices to squeeze more money out of gamers. Giving us less value, less effort, and less loyalty to us.

  • I can see this doing reasonably well in the US and Europe. The rest of the world, not so much.

  • The two top comments are completely different, WTF?!

  • why cant i find it in the appstore? (im in israel) if that matters

  • @MRmt1217 אחי זה לא תומך בארץ, יש לנו חרא רוחב פס ובכללי גם על פלאפונים זה דורש דור רביעי

  • it does not work in Australia

  • How come IGN don't upload 50 shitty videos in one day anymore. They only upload 5 SHITTY VIDEOS a day now LAZY FUCKING BUMS!!!!!!!

    FUCK YOU IGNorant!!!

    UNSUBSCRIBED!

  • @GalaxYSmokaH4Trilli0 Good riddance

  • LOL, the card didnt steer at all.. fckin touch has to die off already, useless piece of garbage..

  • @HDTanel Maybe that controller will work with other iPad-games? In that case we have a true portable winner. :)

  • @HDTanel Maybe it's because he didn't hit the brakes?...

  • @HDTanel You probably don't have tablet or touch screen phone, do you?

  • @HDTanel That doesn't have anything to do with the touch controls. It's a connection issue. I have to agree that most 3D games on phones that have the controls overlaid aren't done very well.

  • Is it coming to the UK Apple Store?

  • Do you have to pay for the OnLive service or pay for each game you use?

  • Let's hope we dont' lose another Rockstar because of this......

  • Whyyyy would you want to game on your tablet?

Angry Birds and other "APPS" are already more than enough entertainment.

It takes the native purpose away from it being a 'tablet', strains the battery life considerably, limits your 'gaming' options to their biased library AND makes you pay for their controller to play the 'GOOD' ones.

  • @PhyerTwo It wouldn't drain the battery life much more than streaming HD video would.

  • @decyx2 Of course it would. All the small things that are needed to run this Xbox live garbage adds up

    Signals from -optional/needed- controller

    sound effects

    G sensor controls

    Touchscreen

All of those being used at the same time would drain the battery much faster than only streaming HD videos.

  • @PhyerTwo That makes sense. I tip my hat to you, sir.

  • im buying this shit!!!!!

  • @yuoboi That app itself is free, so you don't have to buy it. :)

  • 1:55 Network Problem

And that guys, is why I will stay playing on a PlayStation for now

  • You misspelled Scott Lowe's name in the description as Scott Low.

  • i used to want to try this, but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • that awkward moment when the 2 top comments contradict each other...

  • will there be nook support?

  • +can i played on my calculator?

  • 2:00 network problem... will be the most common problem playing onlive.

  • i have a blackberry playbook (N)

  • ign wtf do you keep removing my comments, fucking fags.

  • 1:55 lol network problem

  • this kicks ass

  • motherfuck Thanks to onlive i had to pay 70 bucks extra on my Internet Bill.

  • @KimCheeHuu I think it's coming out Tomorrow because that's when the controller comes out

  • this is sick makes me want to get onlive to use on my ipad 2

  • lol cool - Do i have to buy video games on that program? or the games come free?:! :D

  • @supermido1995 Some come free. But every game has a trial.

  • @supermido1995 The app comes with Lego Batman for free (I assume that's for a limited time). Aside from that there's a marketplace in the app. Unfortunately it looks like apple won't allow in app purchases so you'll have to buy on the website or another device.

  • hey its not a viewer anymore! ... why the hell would i use it though

  • The app isn't in the app store. Anyone know why?

  • @KimCheeHuu It's not out for ios yet, only Android for now. ios is coming soon.

  • This is pretty amazing. Why would anyone buy games from the app store now? U can play console quality games on ur iPad with a controller!

  • Onlive would be amazing if bandwith was fucking free

  • Controls look way unresponsive

  • This will be very interesting!!!!! :D i wasnt sure about it at first, but now it looks amazing

  • Its a great concept but its too ahead of its time. Current mobile network speeds are not up to par with what the OnLive tablet app is trying to do. Cloud gaming is something that fascinates me but right now its pointless because current data plans aren't able to keep up with it

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • @nicospec Yes, and it has.

  • will this be 4 ipod touch

  • This is what will bring onlive to the top!

  • ppppfffffffffff

  • @dumbasses at ign this has been known about for a LONG time.

  • This looks amazing!

  • You know what? i hate people talking madd shit about this concept... if you just speculate and dont try it then gtfo.. i was playing my free Lego Batman on my MT4g at the airport over 3g/4g... and guess what? it work flawlessly. so stfu try it if the app doesnt work for you, then just wait till they tweak it. all apps haave problems. Have a fucking nice day.

  • @freakyricky But the app isnt out yet, you didn't play anything. But i do agree with what you said, just don't lie like that.

  • he didnt back out... he rage quit.

  • 1:51 ROTATION FAIL and network ;)

  • extra creditz has predicted the future lol
