What an imbalanced power dynamics between lovers! Why should a woman give up her self for the man to be the ultimate conquerer? I think it is a defeatist attitude on the part of a woman. Desire is powerfully beautiful but still one shouldn't lose sight of one's dignity. This theory of desire opens up a woman as an empty site for a man to do as he pleases. This is slavery in disguise. @ritubahar You missed the point of the poetry, it's not for one or the other to give up their sense of self. Rather it is both merging into one self, thus then there is no man or woman. Only One remains. It's symbolic for anything in ilfe really, also symbolic for spirituality as well I'd say.

idk I really like this song, but it seems to me to be talking of a love that isn't healthy in that the lover is needy of his beloved, feeding off her energy, parasiting off her, totally dependant. An addictive imbalance. It's potential is great extacy and great agony at the same time.
