Everything burns-while everyone screams-burning their lies-burning my dreams-all of this hate-and all of this pain-burn it all down-as my anger reigns-
Am i the only one that can see her saying that? Especially if she's not in her right mind and actually has feelings...
this is a good movie but the lyrics dont really match her. i feel their more closer to zuko in the first season, but thats just my opinion, like i said good movie :)
God, Azula was only 14...I always hated her but after watching this show as an older viewer I pity her. She was more of a victim of Ozai than Zuko was. Hopefully in the comic series, The Promise, we'll see Azula get some help from her brother and her mother, if Ursa returns.
To put it simply Azula suffers from very strong mental illness's, she is most likely sociopathic with pyschopatic tendancies, the reason she "lost it" at the end of the show was due to the combination of her friends betrayal and the responsibility thrust upon her by her father. These things unsettled her mental state to the point where she was hallucinating and breaking down. I do also find it quite a cold statement made by the show that azula has no redemption as she is portrayed as beyond help
She was obviously unable to pretend she was alright anymore, what people mean when they say azula lost it is that she lost everything and she couldn't hide that she was lonely and sad
If katara wouldn't have interfered with Azula and Zuko's fight.....Azula would have won....just sayin'....I know it's all about the good winning but watching her crack kind of broke me. You could tell Azula was screaming for help.....but no one came to her aid...you can tell she gave up....
The only reason they made her go insane was because the writers knew that there was no way Zuko or Katara could beat her in a sound state of mind. That and they'd have to kill her if she was sane, which would make all the kiddies unhappy. So now we have the whole "Awww, she just needed a hug." thing going on which is probably more annoying than seeing writers take the easy road and making a good villain go insane.
This song fits her. I personally find Azula's character far more tragic (as the song implies) rather then sinister which is highly unusual in a cartoon villian.
In a way she was a victim of Ozai's selfishness and cruelty even more then Zuko was, the only difference was Azula's scars were in her mind instead of on her skin...
Azula is to me the best chraracter and the best villain in the series!! Her personality evolves within the story, and she is so damn smart and dangerous!!!
@Hulna i know she's very cunning and decisive and not to mention VERY powerful, but the loss of those she thought who were closest to her and the power she would have inherited, really took a toll on her resulting in the shattering of her spirtit and the overall decomposition of such an intellengent mind.
To be honest the quality of animation far outstrips most anime as is shown by the way they animate fire and water, somthing which even Disney finds difficult to do.
it's not really an anime, more of an asian American cartoon. It's called "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and this character doesn't show up until season 2, but there's 3 seasons all together.
@CrystalRobot13 lol its canadian not american XP and i have to dissagree this is more anime then sailor moon was thats my opintion why dont you think its a anime? and great video song fits well
@JACOBDDIXON13 O.o; It's not Canadian. It was made in Burbank, California. That's where they did the writing, storyboarding, and voice recording, and then it was shipped off to Korea to be animated. Then back to California for last minute touch-ups, ADR work...stuff like that. But it wasn't made in Canada.
And I think it's listed as "not an anime" because anime, though it really just stands for animation, is typically associated with Japanese animation in particular, which this is not.
this is such a good vid ,i also did not like azula that much{i am a zuko fan} but your vid put a lot of emotion that i didnt see in the character before ,know i like her!! lol by far the best avatar vid out there!!
one last thing: Azula deserved to be love by someone. hw could zuko turn his back on her? I know she did bad things, but, she was so, corrupt and lonely. She didn't know what to do nor how to cope with the loss of the only thing she had left: Power.
It was only in the end that that side of her really came out, so Zuko didn't really get to see it. Also, she was VERY VERY VERY dangerous. Staying alive > finding out Azula's problem. Since we have no idea happened to her after the series finshed, I like to think Zuko and his mother tried to help her.
@DarksideHeartless Actually Mike and Bryan answered this question in an interview. They said she was checked into the Avatar world equivalent of a mental institution. So, I think that means she gets better. I hope so. I think she is an amazing character!
@Titans0Star I agree you would think Zuko of all people would be able to see that all she ever wanted was to be loved. They really weren't that different from each other in the end.
at first, when the show started, and azula first appeared, i didn't like her much. I guess i was just being stupid. as the series progressed and we saw more of azula, i started to regard her as my fav character. I mean, you can't help but feel an odd feeling of guilt when she has her breakdown. that's my verdict anyway.
I might, but maybe after I do a Zuko video I'm working on. I don't wanna do another just-Azula video until after I do some of the other individual characters.
ben moody is the guy singing right? I was just wondering,
Anyway I think the video is great, eventhough azula's so evil she's still one of my favourite characters, the voice actress plays the role so perfectly too. I also love the song.
Squdley loves you
She does have feelings at the end and is insane.
