The bridge section "music played and people sang" sounds like something from Fiddler on the Roof, including the "Hey!"
This is a very Sonny and Cher version, which is nice, but I much prefer the haunting, spare quality of Nancy Sinatra's version. Sinatra brings a much more smooth, expressive voice to the song.
The other version is too cold. I like the fact that this has some sort of flow to it. I like this version much more, but I guess it's a mater of opinion
I like this better then the Sinatra version. Much better flow. The Sinatra version seems to sound desperate. I know that she supposed to sound desperate in a way, but this one just resonates better with me.
This song was written for Cher by Sony, so far the best versions in my opinon are Cher and Mina. Dilada's version is also pretty good. I'm not a big fan of the Nancy Sinatra version. I would say Mina's version might be the best.
Eureka!! Would've been a lot quicker finding this if I'd known it was Cher's version I was looking for ; there are a lot of 'Bang Bangs' out there...lol. This is the arrangement I was looking for.
Although Nancy Sinatra sings it nice too, the 'vibey guitar' on th@ annoys me ; so this here is one for me...oh yea.. : )
btw - Kill Bill Vol.I & II - Worst Tarantino films ever?
fuck you !! quentin tarantino is great. acctualy (or whatever, i'm portuguese . sorry my english) he can't do bad movies. all quentin movies are great !! by the way this song is very good
Yes, Tarantino is great. I particularly enjoyed his acting too, as 'Jimmy' in Pulp Fiction, it's a great exchange between him and 'Jules', such a good script. Films such as Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs are very good films. Though Kill Bill was a self indulgent piece of garbage and shows that he can make bad films.
No need to apologise for your English, my Portuguese is non-existent. No need to be so bloody rude either. (fuck you!!)?? ... pffttt
By the way, I'm kinda old and on the 45 record I got back in 1967 had sonny bono as the author. I never heard it before this or in any of my parent's 30's,40's or 50's songs. The release date of th singer recording the song tells you pretty much the whole truth.
this song was released on the Bside of a record. the A side is the single, and the Bside is just another song they put cuz records have to sides you can play. this song came out on vinyl in the 60s and music videos got big in the 80s. it doesn't have a video. there are music videos from the 60s but not for Bsides, and not very many like there are now.
The song that I heard for the first time in a chapter of the nanny, but who was not wise cher, neither knew that this song was, because I was a child. Now that I hear quite shocking

This song sounds like it was written and interpreted by Nancy Sinatra, even though it was written by Sonny for Cher.

Sonny wrote this song for her, the mainstream version is Nancy's cover....
fredericvanmoe 3 years ago 2
i realize he did, that isn't even relevant to what i said. and there is nothing mainstream about the way Nancy sang it.

Kill Bill was a self-indulgent piece of shit and the worst dialogue ever (on purpose, I think). I'm glad someone else said it.
