  • Jim Lampley said that Lennox ducked Chris Byrd.... baaaaahahahahahahaaaha.... pure bullshit!

  • @MegaYouri13 Well he's right Lewis wasn't really fighting anymore. His career was pretty much over when this fight was going on.

  • @capablemachine Lennox would have pumelled Byrd. Lennox went on to fight better fighters...

  • @MegaYouri13 He fought twice against a washed up Tyson and Vitali Klitchscko who got cut. Byrd survived toe to toe against David Tua and big punchers he frustrated.

  • i been in chris byrds house

  • holyfield is 40 plus here guys thats the story byrd wa snever in his league

  • @jimmy70843

Even Byrd is not young here far from his prime

  • Byrd can could make almost any heavyweight look bad. Young or old.

  • He has one of the best, non-stop jab's i've ever seen. Although, when they start trading off power shot's Holyfield dominates.

  • Tragic to see a great fighter like Holyfield looking so bad he should have walked away after the second fight with Lennox where holyfield fought well.

  • he's not looking that bad... Byrd is just really good, and used his jab every round.

5:30 Holyfield is the greatest of that era, he cannot be disputed.

  • Yeah but at his age he didn,t have the speed or accuracy of punches that a younger man has and his punch output dropped badly in later years which was one of his main weapons he use to fight full rounds throwing a high volume of punches and grinding people down with pressure.

Bryd is good but i would still back a prime Holyfield against him.

  • Very good perspective on Holyfield.

"Pressure bursts pipes. I thank God for giving me peace of mind to overcome pressure. The difference between winning and losing is when pressure hits." - Evander Holyfield.

Pressure... That was his style, his heart, his mindset, everything... I love the will this man possessed. Look at how many jabs he took this fight, yet he still rally's in the 11th, and maybe hurt Byrd. There's no way Byrd could of withstood the relentless power shots from prime Holy.

  • @stephen3343 Yeah, but he would have to catch him first which I don't think he could.

He always had problems with boxers with a good jab, even an ancient Larry Holmes gave a prime Holyfield problems.

  • i have 100 - 90 byrd
