He'll hear a knock, if you ignore it for 3 times(i think) you'll hear a voice from Kratos you respond yes to it, have a conversation with him, you'll rest and go to the tower and have this cutscene and you fight him

Thought I should clear this up with everyone on how Zelos betrays you in the worst way here.

Kratos must be one of the top Four people with the highest "friendship/relationship" whatever you want to call it in your entire group before going to the Doctor in Flanoir. Then you MUST pick Kratos when you hear his voice, otherwise anyone else will make it just the regular Zelos no-fight Betrayal.

Oh and if Kratos is the 4th person in the scene, you automatically get him :P

@TheYellowQilin Yes it makes no sense. If you talk to anyone but Kratos he decides to go with Pronyma but if you talk to Kratos he decides to stay behind and fight 6 on 1? A guy who wants a "fun easy life" commits suicide by fighting an outnumbered battle. He's a lot smarter than that and just seems out of character. But oh well, the way I saw it Zelos is a love/hate character. It gave a way to those that hate him a way to kill him off. Ive seen comments people talking how they like to kill him.

@kingudamuXD In the game, you have the option, to chose Kratos over Zelos through a stroyline twist, in doing so, when Zelos betrays you, instead of him leaving and re-joining later, he fights you himself, and dies.

@kingudamuXD shadowkirby did the twist in the game the true story is that zelos lives since as you can tell to zelos is alive in DotnW but anyway shadow did the twist in the game where you get kratos instead of zelos re-joining you and the only way to get that is by denying everybody you talk to in flanoir besides kratos and boom when you go to the tower of salvation you fight zelos instead of the easy angel boss fight =)

@up4anything19 You fight Zelos if you chose to talk to Kratos in Flanoir, but later on Zelos ask Lloyd if he trusts him. If you choose that you do, then you fight him AND get to keep him in your party.

Max out affection with Kratos, reject everyone at Flanoir. You get Kratos instead of Zelos . . . the sucky part is that Zelos is technically a better character, and he is just totally cut out of the storyline at the end, which I didn't like . . . missed seeing him in the end-of-game portrait.

There's a cutscene in Flanoir that you have to trigger. In the inn, Colette comes into your room and asks you to come outside. Say no. Sheena will come in with the same request, as Genis will after. Say no to both of them as well. After that, Lloyd hears his name and goes outside to have a little talk with Kratos (you'll understand why if you've played the game)

Then later you have to fight Zelos, rather than Kratos, at the Tower of Salvation

actually the three people that come to your room depends on who has the most affection for Lloyd, not a set 3 characters, whatever character you pick in Flanoir decides your ending, not much is different besides more backstory for that character and if you choose Kratos then you kill Zelos. If you choose anyone else other than Kratos then you fight a different boss at this point, not Kratos though.

to get genius to s-type, just give him s-type skills using the ex gems

well, if you know how to use ex gems, its easy. each ex gem gives you a choice of 4 abilites right? Well each ability is either an s-type or an t-type ability.(it says in the discription of the ability). For example,the ability "Strong" is a s-type, while the ability "Sharp-eye" is a t-type. To get Genis to a s-type, just give him abilites that have a s-type, like "Strong" or "Tough" As long as theres 3 s-type abilites, Genius well become a s-type character.

its not really that difficult. long as you have at least a few ex gems, just give them to Genis. It only takes a while because it takes some fighting for him to swtich to s-type.

You need to save your Unison Attacks for when he casts. The more you bust him up without getting hit, the more grade you get.

Unison attacks should be used during Over Limit and dangerous casts like Judgment.

It´s pretty cool to fight Zelos and get Kratos back earlier , but I think it´s better to have him in the party . Zelos is the best character in this game
