The Chinese have another way of annexing Korea - and it does not involve any miltary action! Simply make DPRK so poor that it relies on China to keep its economy stable and soon enough annexation of DPRK by China is possible -- even though P'yongyang will say no.

Actually, China sent approximately 926,000 "volunteers". Chinese estimates are that 150,000 of those soldiers died, the American estimate is that "400,000+" died.

North Korea wouldn't have been annexed; South Korea would simply have re-asserted control over it's sovereign territory. Both NK and SK claim to be the sole sovereign of all Korea.

The UN is not a country so it cannot annex any territory. And the US doesn't want to annex NK, we want Korea united under the RoK government.
