  • Lacks the power of the original song.

  • Shouldnt there be a law that prohibits releasing a game in only one language? I hate those idiotic japanese bastards...

  • @Chokoboh ... No... there isn't. And calling them names isn't gonna help. If it makes you feel better though, this game did get released outside of Japan.

  • I would definitely play this game, but my DS's L and R buttons are broken, and I can't imagine that the game doesn't require at least one of them... I'm so SAD! I didn't discover Lufia until long after it's time - the era of gamecubes and xboxes, where graphics were high priority, but I will always hold dear the Lufia games. It captivated me in a way that I'll never forget. Thank you Nintendo for creating such an amazing series.

  • @Silverstar114 fear not there is a ds emulator u might be saved

  • The sounding of the trumpet makes me think, "This is the end, I know it is. But I'm gonna give it ONE HELL OF A SHOT!"

  • With as many times as I played it on the SNES...I could pay for it lten times and still get my money's worth, lol

  • Dude I will buy a DS just so I can play this game

  • This game will be such a raping of my favorite game ever...

  • there is a DS lufia version?!

    o m g

  • @ComMcNeil

There is an action RPG remake of Lufia II for the DS (it's only in Japanese right now)

  • @ComMcNeil As a long time lover of Lufia, I reccomend avoiding the DS reimagining...

  • i respect them for bringin it back but its not original battle system its action rpg.... it kinda ruined for meh.... but at least they are trying to revive lufia my fav lufia game was actually the legend returns for the gbc

  • Why would you want to pay for the same RPG twice?

I like the new direction they're taking it in. Besides, we know by now Square Enix can't make a good RPG anymore. They'd ruin it.

  • @TheImmutable Square Enix had nothing to do with this game except for giving Neverland money and saying "make a new Lufia game". At first I was worried that they might be handling the translation, and "fixing" names in the process (referring to the characters we grew up with by their Japanese names), but it turns out that Natsume is localizing the game. So not only do we have the exact same team building the game from the start, we have the same company translating it.

  • @TheImmutable

"Why would you want to pay for the same RPG twice?"

Have you heard/ seen the amounts of people CRYING out for a remake of FFVII, citing it as the best game in the world that deserves a remake?

  • @ChaosMissile FFVII Is not the best game out there. No game is. If he wants to pay for it ten times then let him :D He likes the game and that's that. (This was not meant as offense, so if you got offended. Apologizing.)

  • @xAzureIzumix Amen to that.

  • @TheImmutable

This game isn't that great on DS. They changed so much about the story and the characters (and Arty not joining until so late i nthe game it gives such little time for him to become friends with Maxim, Selena and Guy, at least not in the way he was close to them in the SNES/SF version). The battle system is fun, but it doesnt work well with a Dpad :/ I7m not coming here to gripe about it either, just bringing honest facts to the table.

  • @pilotamurorei thats what i heard

  • Ugh... Don't really like the instrument choice in this one. Without the violins (even the Super Nintendo's fake violins), it just doesn't sound as heroic. I wish they'd focus on the "feel" of the song before the "specific notes being used". Sure, this is technically a remix, but it doesn't fit in the same context at all.

  • @Socran

TBH, this seems to be a note-for-note copy of the original. All they did was update the instrument voices.

I'll definitely get this as Lufia is one of my favorite games of all time. Lufia II was especially good, as not only was it a great RPG, but it had a lot of great puzzles in it too. Dungeon crawls weren't just about killing stuff. It was about using your head to get through it all. I can only hope that they retain this in this remake.

  • That's what I meant, though. The notes are the same, but are used in a way that doesn't evoke the same feeling... Which is actually the opposite of the complaints people have about everything else about the game. Honestly, I'm usually the one going around saying "stop hating on the game before it's out, just because it's not exactly the same doesn't mean it's gonna suck". I'm highly anticipating the game, it's just this one song that doesn't sit right with me, since it was always a favorite.

  • @ Socran.

I would agree, but I say it's because there's too much brass and not enough strings with this one. It almost feels shallow to me.

  • So much love for this song... If all the music is like this I can't WAIT to hear the Sinistral's battle theme.

  • Finally! Did I see it right that this time is Gades on your side??

    GREAT STUFF!!

  • It's been a really long time I played but I doubt I saw on our side in the trailer...maybe first encounter? I don't remember him that mean the first time he meets the party.

  • This is real? Holy shit!!!

  • @speyeker yea i just torented it like a boss
