  • It is very informative . i like your video. i learn a lot from you.

  • looking forward to watch the continuing episode. thx from iceland ;)

  • Hi, Im new in dslr. I'm not sure what external flash to buy as I have a Canon dslr 500d. Can you recommend me some external flash? Is ring light better?

  • Great stuff, looking forward to upcoming episodes.

For those looking for an inexpensive starter flash I went with the Yongnuo YN560 off Ebay and so far it does everything the more expensive brand names ones seem to at a fraction of the price!

  • Nice video Shawn!!

Hey I'm a beginner in Photography. I have a Canon T2i and I want to buy a external flash. Which flash would you recommend me to buy? I'm planning in buy the Speedlite 270EX II to start with, what do you think?

  • I find on camera flashes useful for fill light in natural daylight situations, but even then an off-camera flashgun is much better. Did you get to play with the flash on the Panasonic GX1? It snaps back 90 degrees so you can bounce it. I've honestly been getting flashgun like results in most situations. It's really pretty amazing for an on camera flash. Slow recharge though.

  • @danduranduran Unfortunately I have not had a chance yet to put this camera in my hand. However, I do plan on doing so soon. How do you like the picture quality and the features of the camera?

  • I'm super excited that I won. I never win anything. Thank you KreativeVueTv!

  • @newtney1 CONGRATULATIONS BRO...THANKS FOR SUBBING!

  • External flashes are great & a must. If you MUST use your pop-up flash, most cameras have flash output setting. 4 things you can do is set the Flash Output to the lowest setting, use a diffuser for your pop-up flash, set your Flash Exp.Comp. to the lowest setting & adjust the exposure comp to the environment you're in. Again this is only if you MUST use the pop up flash. For students, B&H.com has a great student program & discounts that help with the cost of external flashes & all other gear.

  • @floex831 Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. Although I emphatically have to reiterate, "If you Must". As a beginner photographer one of the things that you will inevitably learn is how to plan and prepare before you shoot. Popup flashes are there when you CANNOT rely on any other light source to produce an image. Additionally you should already avoid shooting in such areas that would require the use of a pop up flash. As I said in my video, "NEVER to be considered on a professional level".

  • @floex831 Thank you for leaving your feedback and information on the student discount program.

  • hey, I have a "sunpack auto 144D" will this flash work on a canon t3 or t1i? still not sure which one I'm getting...

  • @MrKillermeatball Helllo. So here is the deal with the sunpack. It will give you better lighting than a popup flash, but you definitely will have some major limitations as we progress into more flash tutorials. I do have a GREAT alternative to Canon's 580ex, and that is the Yongnuo 565ex. It's a fraction of the cost of a 580exii and has all the capabilities and functions needed to produce great flash images. Let me know what you think.

  • @KreativeVueTV just wondering if it would be compatible.

  • Dude... I Love your videos, hope to learn to use better my flash!!

  • GAMERA !!!

  • I'm SO PUMPED for this! :D

  • Very nice channel, i like how you do your thing and it works very well, thank you for the great videos.

  • Great videos, allways.

    Thanks.

  • That drum roll made me laugh and I'm sick so I am now coughing my lungs out.. LOL

  • Thanks for the knowledge!

  • The SUPER BRIGHT glare in your glasses isn't so good. How do you get rid of that?

  • Always good to hear from your knowledge.. Thanks! :D

  • Cheers for the info :D

  • I use my pop up flash to trigger my 580 EX II and my 430 EX II for cross flash. I need me a pocket wizard :(...

  • Great video!!

  • Hair looks good!

You need to do something about the light glare on your left eye!

  • First of all great videos man! thanks for all the great info you give! I wanted to let people know that are getting to flashes that I have see a video that Adam Lerner has done to show you about a flash called LumoPro LP160. It is on the same level as an SB-900 and only costs 159.95. Hope this helps out to stay low cost but great performance for people like me just getting into it. :)

  • my man shaun! dope video brotha, you should make some FC videos! (final cut) editing vidz!

  • HEY!

I was wondering if there is a difference between a cheapo flash and flash like canon or nikon...

    what do cheap flashes lack?

  • @TheTechnoland On the Canon side my 430EX II lacks the option to be the master flash. The 580ex ii can trigger slaves while the lower end cant. 430EX II has to have a master flash to trigger it unless its attached to your DSLR. Also the 430 EXII doesn't have nearly as much power as the bigger brother 580EX II. In my experience thats not really necessary unless you're doing sports or in a big space with a high ceiling.

  • i find it weird how i was just looking for one of these videos today and i couldn't find any good tutorials and then your video comes along :) (that was a compliment)
