Gary England is my meteorology idol. I remember meeting him when he came to my school years ago when I was a wee lad. :D I started studying meteorology in the 2nd grade and now that is what i live for. I love meteorology and nobody tells it better than Gary.
Only weather Oklahoma doesn't have is hurricanes, since the state, obvioulsy is well inland and not on the coast. However, has Oklahoma ever had rain from one, perhaps from one that made landfall in Texas?
@ILovestorms Yes we have had quite a few. Actually the remains of tropical storm Hermine just came through and in 2007 the remnants of tropical storm Erin came through with high winds, flooding, and lots of damage that FEMA paid for. What we get a lot of that does damage mainly is tornadoes and ice storms. In Dec of 09 was the first time since I was little that I actually saw a snow storm. That is only because we never get snow. We either get terrential ice fall or freezing rain and drizzle.
@DMWolFGurL Ice Storms are worse than snowstorms and are very dangerous. They cause a lot of accidents on the roads and get all over the trees and power lines, taking them down and causing power outages. I hate them.
Gary is one of the best weather men, anywhere. I was in the tornado he is talking about at :08, and he even put two of my picutres in his book. We love ya Gary!

(Oklahoma State Fair around 1976...I had a stunningly beautiful brunette with me and I don't think you were paying any attention to what I had to say....lol)

Gary England sucks, I would not trust his weather forecast for anything. He made the remark one time that the people in Cheyenne was not worth his time. ( the school asked him to do a weather school thing)
