I agree with the comment below. The video was insightful. However, the only "rule" or guideline that made me think twice about hiring this lawyer is rule number 9.
Rule 9: Do not hire a lawyer that speaks your own language or is from the same country.
I find this rule to be incorrect and quiet ignorant. I selected a layer that spoke Spanish and found that it as exactly what I needed.
Each case is different but this rule is like telling a black/brown person to NOT hire a black/brown lawyer?!?
This video was very informative, however I don't understand rule #9 in which you state it's a bad idea to hire a lawyer who speaks the immigrant's native language or is from their homeland, I mean are you implying that lawyers who only know English are the best lawyers and lawyers of Hispanic, Persian etc descent are not any good? How is the client going to be able to communicate with the lawyer? I'm not sure what you mean by that but it doesn't sound right, if you can clarify.
I have a very complicated immigration case, I have spend thousands of dollars on immigration attorneys and I'm now on deportation proceeding for trusting the wrong one, this video was very helpful, hopefully it's not late to fight back.
