  • is this available without the shit music

  • Wish there was no soundtrack. What a waste.

  • Bhawana

  • i dig it

  • The music is awful here: unnecessary and distracting.

  • My god what a doofus.... He talked himself into a dead end from 03:28 to 03:57. Rambling on on a road he doesnt know where it leads to.

  • @RamDeMan lol you're rather ignorant huh?

  • your argument is invalid.

  • Get the music off.

  • we listened to A.W.s on the radio in the late '70's, music and images NOT NEEDED!

  • the music sucks and what does his speech have to do with that zeitgeist cult?

  • @auroraglacialis Exactly.

  • beautiful music tracks! I really enjoy listening to the Alan Watts videos with music tracks that people think distract. To me, it's a different art form entirely, than simply a lecture. You can find this clip in it's original context in a six part series on Youtube. When you couple the lecture with music, it's as if listening to poetry, sound, spoken word and rhythm. "I'm talking for the same reason birds sing...I dig it." The words aren't the important conveyance in this vid, its the feel.

  • its the earth we navigate and destroy

  • ok,so allen watts is a luciferian.

  • Alan Watts and Alan Watt are two entirely different persons. It's taken me so fucking long to fully realize this

  • @dadgadable Can you explain?

  • @questionsleadtotruth There are two guys both from the United Kingdom. (if I'm correct) They both rather look alike. One his name is Alan Watt, the other is Alan Watts. They both speak on political and world matters. Only Alan Watt can be categorized more in the Alex Jones spectrum. The other is a Zen philosopher. They are not the same person! It took me really long to get it right. (I'm so dumbt you know)

  • Alan Watts would laugh at zeitgeist movement! U dont get this dude at all

  • @illuminatiperspectiv The funny thing about the movement is that everyone is on board whether they know it or not, like it or not. For exactly the same reason that Alan is discussing in this video. Perhaps you have another idea about the idea he is expressing? I'd love to see it.

  • FUCK THE ZIETGEIST MOVEMENT!!

  • @seppukuification925 Why? It's a movement of awareness in terms of the application of the scientific method for all social concern

  • @seppukuification925 Wow, what's with the hostility? Do you think that the society we have today is the best we can do? Do you think we have reached the pinnicle of human achievement? If not then you are a member of the movement already. There is no way our current level of technological progress will allow for the status quo. We are growing up, the society of tomorrow will be as different from today as the hunter gatherer societies we left behind yesterday. There is no way out.

  • @seppukuification925 Seriously...what's with the hostility of wanting to live on a planet with full abundance?

  • If i could go on a boat ride with this man...

  • What ever does this have to do with the Zeitgeist Movement? Horrible title.

  • If you turn of the engine of the boat you will still move forward for a while... that is a result of the engine being on in the past... All our values and beliefs are formed by our environment... and we act according to our values and beliefs... so even though the only reality is now, the now influences the now of tomorrow and the now has been influenced very much so by the past! If we do not look at the root causes of things but just at their present form we will never understand them!

  • music too loud dumbass, fix it, we cant hear him

  • For those who prefer the original.

    /watch?v=G4j6cUwCRmI

  • explain that to the police if u get caught after a rape/murder/robbery

"i dont define myself by the past!" etc.

    oh well

  • remove music, zeitgeist connection and you have alan watts and silence (preferred! :)

  • The Zeitgeist movement is self-contradictory. I would love to debate Peter Joseph in public and expose the sham for what it is. P.S. I would recommend he read a bit of Aristotle before he spews his incoherent nonsense to the public.

  • However, they do not include religion in this dialectic, which is a contradiction of the Hegelian persepecive they claim to uphold.

  • This has nothing to do with the Zeigeist movement. Their arguments, unlike Mr. Watts', are incoherent and laughable. Firstly, they claim the Hegelian argument that all movements are an inevitable part of the evolution of consciousness, that even destructive movements were necessary for humanity to experience because they are part of the dialectic that inevitably leads to progess. They use this to undermine the evils of fascism.

  • Senseless babble

  • Comment removed

  • @KeMoniito You can trust in your own perceptions and believe in your own ability to perceive truth and reality - one step at a time.

  • His book written in 1951 " Wisdom of insecurity" is a lesson of how

we can always handle life no matter what.

A must read. It changed lives of many people. Find peace when you have nothing, nobody and nowhere to go.

  • Music really is too loud. Great moral to learn.... but you become too distracted by the loud music.

  • @gentleanonymity if you can be distracted by music there is nothing more to be said

  • very bad music choice ..and it's too damn loud too! It KILLED the video!!

  • what a brilliant man. when and how did he die?

  • @Nicklas07 ..Ok thank,s for the correction ...didn't know there were 2 of them, - an S ...LOL

  • stupid music ruined it...

  • This was not whom I expected to see and hear. But once I got through the 1960s hippie bullshit wrapping I actually enjoyed his message. Stop focusing on the past is just what I needed to hear tonight. on the past

  • Blarr Blarr Blarr , had enough of this guy after 2 mins...

  • @1madaboutguitar that's because you're a low minded species

  • @willywillyization Might wanna take a look in the mirror Mr judgemental!

  • hahahhaha thats not alan watts LOLLLLLLL

  • There is a lot of truth in what Watts says. This hit home to be especially as I am a graduate student in American History. Therefore, history is not just a result of a succession of events going back in time. It can't be, since the traces of those events eventually run out into nothingness. Look no further than the present for the true causes of things.

  • @tabletalk33 exactly what i got too. thanx like-minded person for your sharing

  • @tabletalk33

If you don't history, aren't you doomed to repeat it?

There is a lot of [real] history that is not shown in these public schools.

History is written by the victor.-Winston Churchill

And if people can't see that America is following the same steps as the Weimar Republic then...I don't know what to say, except that, I feel no pity.

  • I for one appreciated the music.

  • These films ignore the deepest of the issues, and encourage us to tear down the system, leaving many of the true and most important culprits hidden in the dark.

  • @TruthSmack

    did you even watch this?

  • I was pissed when this was over. I was looking for Alan Watt. I guess I didn't notice the little tiny "s" at the end of this guys name. Anyway, there is 5:51 that I will never get back.

  • I have noticed, there is another, Scotish, clever Alan Watts that looks like this GREAT Alan Watts. Interesting.

  • @BrankoBrankov

the other guy is alan watt - no "s"

  • why do people think that people wnat to listen to a concert while trying to absorb information?

  • @Blondewithtools Maybe they think we will not pay attention to what they are saying.

    And it is true.

This man sound lunatic and I'm leaving.

    bye

  • It is perhaps ironic in a way that the truth of what Alan Watts says is drowned out in so many of the videos posted on FB. Kudos for posting the vid but there's clearly some unobserved ego-influence at work on the part of individuals who think that his truth alone is insufficient and necessitates being drowned out by noise.

I think the collective causality for this is covered not only in Watts' lectures but also those of Jung, Chopra and others.

  • i really respect this guy. he is open to new ideas and isnt afraid to take on a new perspective.

  • we should go in the past and kick this guys ass for ruining alan watts genius words with this loud distracting music ...and he would just wink. he knows what he's done

  • I really wish we weren't brought up to feel like we are our past.

  • jiddu krishnamurti's voice in the background

  • "i can say :iam doing this now because i did that then . and so iam producing to you a continius line of thoughts , but acuatly iam doing backward : iam doing it always from now and connecting up what i do now with what i did so that you can see a consistent story"

  • Excellent upload. Thanks!

  • Impossible; the mind is physical network that evolves in use in response to stimuli over time. At any given point in the present one is defined by the past. One can no more escape the past at any given moment then one can escape the condition of ones body from past use. Only gradual changes rewriting the neural net can change things, even then such mental changes must emerge out of & be conditioned or developed in the context of ones past state.

  • "The serpent didn`t give an excuse he probably winked" :)

  • Music is a distraction.

  • @HarlequinFilms listen to message not music :)

  • Fuck you Zeitgeist fools and your idea of masquerading a belief as truth. Idiots, the only truth is non truth, stop putting your faith in ideas.

  • @Cylixx3 Great oxymoron dude. If there is no truth, why comment? Anyway...there is truth, it's usually called reality, and ideas are real. Especially the truth of Zeitgeist, which is absolute.

  • @badblueman I support the Zeitgeist movement, as it represents a true conscious effort to understand our environment and our relationship to it. However to say it is "absolute truth" - whatever that means - is very much at odds with the Zeitgeist philosophy. The Zeitgeist movement advocates the scientific method as a tool to make closer approximations as to the the way things are in reality. We can only try to better understand the world, static beliefs systems are incompatible with this.

  • @InvertedFox I know what you mean. I support the ideology behind the Zeitgeist, but I wouldn't call myself a "fan" or a member. More of a cynical admirer. The only reason I said what I said in that comment was in part a joke, since I couldn't beleive what the guy thought he meant when he said: "Idiots, the only truth is non truth, stop putting your faith in ideas."...So yeah, I'm all for rationality to spread from science into other parts of human life.

  • @badblueman Ahhh OK. My mistake, I hadn't realized the context of your response :-)

  • Wonderful

  • I could never said it better myself, it is truly the most beautiful way to live life, I'm not religious and my life is beautiful, which proves to me that religion is not the be all n end all... Something huge needs to happen to open peoples eyes.. But even if its one at a time that's something. I just hope I get to see some sort of change in my lifetime :-)

  • @number1geish

Change is afoot in a big way...please take this with the friendliest intention possible: Your statement is exactly what I would have written even 2 weeks ago...and since then I realized that my eyes were still closed, even though I thought they were open. I wish I could explain more (language won't suffice). I feel like there are many blindfolds, and I just took a major one off and what I saw stunned me--they are me...and then I felt true freedom for the first time.

  • The music is too loud.

  • @olekstom no

  • It's such a pleasure to listen to this man. Thanks a lot for sharing. I wish we could get start working on an RBE tomorrow =)

  • @Trickndel Me too! I'm on board to ZM/VP..choo...choo

  • I can't understand what he is saying because the background music is too loud! :-/

  • @ereppert check your ears, they need repairing.

  • very cool, ive not heard of Alan Watts and support TVP, tyvm for the vid!

  • @TheUnslaved I grew up listening to Alan Watt's lectures and reading his books. I am glad someone made a connection between him and TZM. I love Alan. Such a wise man. I definitely think he would support TZM, if he were alive. I love you Alan. You are missed. :-)

  • When are you gonna get a Facebook account, Paradigm? I really enjoy chatting with you. Hope all is well.

  • Fantastic!!!
