  • i am getting a dove today want to teach it how to flay to the perch so very helpful thank you

  • mines goes away in the morning and comes back at night

  • ur watching southpark lol

  • your room lifestyle looks exactly like mine. i have 3 doves in my cage and with a perch on the top and i have 6 guitars and 3 amps sitting in each corners! haha btw love the training tips :)

  • South Park in the background is a nice touch lol...

  • This is what you said and I quote ''the darker or brown the dove is the more wild'' noooo your ass is wroooong... And I bet you anything that if you release your dove outside it won't comeback on command ... :) but trust me if people can teach a diamond dove to return to them you'll get there with your albino doves!!!

  • LISTEN everybody any dove in the world can be tamed it does not matter their species capeech okay... Note doves aren't stupid you are BLONDY !!! Any questions ask me I have ring-necks & my favorite diamond doves they the smaller species will actually perch on my hand but also YES the younger the bird the easier to be tamed...... XD!!! Doves are the beasts !!!!

  • @TheVortex3

Listen buddy.. doves are dumb.. if you dont think so you must be as well.. compared to almost any other bird they are less intelligent...

and as for you getting one to perch on your finger..WOW..

im teaching how to have a dove fly around a room and come back..

doves are dumb.. but they are trainable.. end of story

  • is there a way you can calm a dove down? I've been holding it the way you showed it but when i do he squeels and tries to break out and sometimes actually pecks at my hand :/ please help!!!

  • @TheClarkDrummer702

    it just takes time

  • Where did you get that perch?

  • @Icelemonaide

    I made it..

2 dowel rods and a rectangle of wood

predrill the holes and put in a screw at the top and bottome

  • @imfaster Thanks!

  • Where do you get them?

  • @TheatreIllusion96

    Local petstores or breeders..

    also check criagslist.

  • men, next time please turn off your TV, it´s dificult understand your voice for foreign people like me :@

  • @magintm

    Yea sorry about that.

  • Amazing!! Just wish u covered how to get them onto your finger in the first place lol

  • @ollie1816

just place it under there breast and lift up

  • do u jus let them stand on u'r fingers ?when they flap their wings

  • @MrMrmagic1998

yes as long as they dont fly off

  • u r awesome

  • @MrMrmagic1998

    Thanks

  • arent this guys pigeons? lol

man im lost when it comes to doves...

  • @CeeEmmz

Nope but same family of birds..

    they are smaller than pigeons

  • i have question. i got a albino dove yesterday, and every time i reach to get it, it squeals and moves away from my hand. what am i doing wrong? should i let it out of its cage more? how can i get it more used to me?

    please answer. thank you.

  • @2ndpoolfilms

Just move slowly.. you cant expect a untamed bird to magically be tame in a day..

move slow and hold it as i instructed you need to get him comfortable with being handled before anything else

  • @imfaster alright thanks.

  • Thanks for a great training session. I learned a lot and

it was most enjoyable. Great job!

  • so are they garden doves or java or...

  • what type of doves are they

  • @robertmeikle2

Albino doves. Do not get ring neck Doves ect. the more brown they have the more wild they are

  • Why should doves be left in a cage when you are not training them? Does it make them less trainable or is it because they can get into trouble?

  • @dranalli4823

It keeps there ability to fly for long periods of time lower and as a magician you want that. if there just as pets do as you like

  • ok i have a dove and her favorite perch is on my closet door, is it ok to change a doves perching spot? becuz my dad wants me to by a perch cuz hes tired of bird crap on my floor lol

  • @TheClarkDrummer702

doves do not care where there perched they have no favorite spots

  • @imfaster ok one other thing, ive had it for about 2 months now and its still sorta afraid of me, i talk to it feed it and let it out all the time, yet im not having alot of luck, he is a male and i try to hold him and at times i have success but most of the time he ends up flying away untill he gets tired or finds something to land on, any advice for that?

  • lol this guy was watching the Cheesing episode from South Park lol nice

  • ur doves are kool how long til my bird wil be tht kool wif me??

  • @turkyamad Depends on how often you train them

  • oh u shouldnt start training right away. to them its like a bad first impression and they will think all you want them to do is work and work.

  • @MagicBradley

You can no t make a bad first impression with these birds.. they are not very smart to begin with

  • Do you have to out them in the cage or can you just use a perch???

  • @ainsleymg

they need to be in a cage when youre not working with them

  • how long did it take for your smart bird(not saying you other ones arn't) to get trained?

  • @MagicBradley a few weeks of heavy training

  • How do you make a dove fly from the perch to you. Is it possible?

  • @MagicBradley

you would have to have a perch that was modified to to drop... they will not just fly on there own

  • hey i got a baby diamond dove hes/she is acouple months old is it still trainable?

  • @iMeZZeD

Diamond doves are not they same by im sure you could do some basic training

  • Start by teaching them to eat out of your hand, and you need homming piegions to return home.

  • @owlDwise

doves will not eat out of your hand and they should not be let to fly out side they will not return

  • @imfaster Sorry but all my doves will eat out of my hand. It is the best way to gain their trust!

  • i am about to buy doves and i'm not sure. can all doves be trained to do the same thing? i want to use the doves in a performance where they fly out, come back and possibly hover (is that possible with a group of doves?) how do i train them all, just one by one? please help.

  • could all dove do this?

i have a brown 1 with a black ring on the neck ?

  • thats a regular ring neck doves

white doves are the same thing

    they have the same personalities

white doves = ring neck doves really

  • does age matter when training them?

or well teach them to go back to the perch?

because my aunt gave me some and they just fly every where i put out my hand to and it doesnt work. :( lol

  • yes it does

older doves are hard to teach but is possible

    younger doves are easily tamed

  • @IchigoDluffy yes doves are just a smaller breed of piegon

  • i have fan tails and i have never trained them... they live in the home i made them (three metres up on a pole) and dont really leave the yard.. even the offspring have nested in my yard..(dunno what to do about the incest)

  • they dont come to me i've been doing this for a month :-(

  • I was wondering if you know how to train a dove to fly back home if you want to let it outside for a bit to stretch it's wings. When I was younger I used to have two albino doves (1 male and one female which eventually became three doves). The male dove managed to get out of his cage and was gone for like 3 or 4 days. One day I came home and he was in my backyard. He let me pick him up and put him back into his cage. Since then I've been interested in how to effectively train them to do this.

  • what do you use them for racing or just pets

  • great!

    thank you

  • i am a magician and i want to

know a good way of making a perch

that dose'nt look shonky on stage

    please

  • do you have a cage for them?? cuz they poo alot right?

  • cool posters u got there. by the way nice man. i will try this one. i am planning to have a dove routine for my trick, am just getting started. this video is useful thanks for posting.

  • nice job

  • what type are those doves ring necked or diamond or nether? and does it even matter?

  • not dimond doves.. the are just white albino doves

  • do u clip your dove's wings?

  • no that is how they are able to fly back

  • Hmmm, just asking, because I clipped my doves wing because when they fly in my house, they often knock their heads on the ceilling so I'm really afraid to hurt them. Is there a way I can train my doves to not go knock their heads on the ceiling ? Anyways, thanks for the vid :D

  • a local breeder!? haha jk but i dont think i have one of them. okay aweosme i am going to get some what about the purch???

  • i made my own perch

  • and how much are they? and how long do they last lol

  • they can live for quite a few years 15+ if well taken care of.. price range from $10-35

  • hey where do you get doves?!?!?!?1 haha i have been looking everyewherer???

  • local breeders are the best...

but most pet stores carry them

  • holy cow u have 4

  • and i need about 6 more

  • thanks a lot man , ur so cool ;D

  • i juz brought 2 doves...

any idea to make my doves fly from 1 hand to another???

    thx alot

  • same i deas as the video here just start close and slow spread them as you drop your hand

  • OK I have to train a dove for my church Easter musicals. I have to get it so she flies down to "Jesus" from the balcony and then back up to me. Is this video good to use for this or what exactly could I do?

  • do as i said to gey her to fly down.. but you wont get her to fly back up

  • reply fast

  • is it ok to buy one dove and keep only one

  • yes

  • I am having the same problem, I bought 2 doves, but they are very very defensive... I tried to be soft and approach them in a nice way, but they seems to be running away from my hands... :( Any suggestion brother?

  • just grab the bird from the cage.. corner it if you have to..BUT grab it safely as not to hurt the bird..

once you have the bird you can take it to a corner and step it up from finger to finger... 10 min at a time and 3 times a day.. then let it rest on you shoulder when you can that will help it get used to you.

ALSO COVER WINDOWS!!! put the blinds down or pull the curtains. birds WILL try to fly through glass and this does is a bad thing

  • i have a full grown dove i just rescued and its being kindda hard for me to even get close to him . he is very a defensive and nervous. any suggestion ?

  • sent you a message....

  • my dove is not back to his house

  • i am a young magician i want a dove but my mom dosnt want it to make noises at night

  • not very much.. but early in the morning yes

  • great video.

I have a question when i'm trying to train my dove to fly to a perch, my dove grips harder when i drop my hand. Any tip?

  • drop your hand faster.. lift your hand up a few inches before dropping it.. eventually she will get use to it

  • lol thanks it works

  • Dude nice , I'm not hating now but next time your making a video turn your tv down all the way. cause itz distracting. i want to hear what your saying. it sounds like your competing with the tv .

But in all in all one word

    NICE.

  • haha yeah.. i know i realized this once i edited it.. but yeah.. ill remake it soon

  • My family and I perform dramatic productions that I write. I have just recently completed a script on John the Baptist. There is a part where John baptises Jesus, and when Jesus comes up out of the water "the Holy Spirit decended on him like a DOVE". Well, you get the picture. Thanks for giving me some hope that this "Special Effect" might be possible with a lot of training. (I can just see it landing on a bald man's head in the audience. Ha ha) We'll see... Wish me luck! Thanks again.

  • no problems if any questions feel free to ask.. good luck with the training.. and if the land on someone.. oh wells.. theyll live

  • Would you say doves are good pets?

  • they are kinda boring.. but easy to care for.. there not very smart.. and cant teach them tricks.. but yeah.. any other questions

  • would andy amyx methods be good

  • u couldnt train them any way lol

  • hahaha its ok , i can also see he's not a good magician.especially his attitude.I used to use that name for a long time.

anyway i dont expect you to expose magic but i need advice on how to train doves,to take care of them like u were doing in the video.

maybe food, temperature of the room, esp how to train them to use a toilet haha something like that.

nway thnx for the advice.Maybe i would give u a pm for futher questions.

  • make sure they have a big cage.. the bigger the better.. do not over crowd them..

as for food..go to the store and get the 50 pound bag of wild bird seed.. (cheap stuff)

    treats they like spray millet..

temp doesnt matter much... i kept mine out side from temps 0 to over 100 just make sure they are kept covered and night..

they poop when they poop.. there not smart enough to potty train.

  • Nice video,

having 1 dove or many doves? which one is better? I think 1 dove is kinda cruel.I dont know haha.

im planning to start doing dove magic now.any advice for this beginner?

    plz

    thnx

  • .lots of advice..

    1st and foremost

DO NOT look up to chris angel he is not a good magician.. sorry if you think he is..

if you wanna lean about doves get any of tony clark dvds.

i cannot reveal magic but i am always up for giving advise..

and 1 dove is ok.. but magically in a show 1 is not enough.. you would want 2 at least

  • i know..i do not like criss angel at all!! anyway..any thoughts on where to get a dove??

  • pets stores or local breeders

  • ok thank you and btw i think you are an amazing magician!

  • Just wondering, my doves at the moment are re-feathering, and its taking a while, i have a show on the 27th and i dont really want the kids to be asking questions ! any help?

    Thanks ,

    -Gareth

  • i would have to see them

  • my web camera that i use to make my vids at the minute is broke, though the back of their heads are just skin, with little specs, (im guessing thats feathers) i read that it can take while for them to grow back. im filming saturdays show, and will show the birds on that.

    -Gareth

  • good luck.. just cage them right away youll be ok

  • Great thanks!

  • ddy thank you for your video, it's very helpful. now where can learn the trick, dove productions, do you have any videos on how to do some tricks withh doves

  • sorry i do NOT reveal magic... i can tell you some dvds that you can buy to learn

  • well thats what I'm asking, how can I start. just remember you are already revealing when you are showing what you are showing. remember its all magic and magically the dove's appear out of no where. so why would you show dove training. youa are to be magical lol. anyways, yes please what dvd's woul dbe helpful to me. thank you .

  • im sorry but i do not believe teaching how to make a bird fly back to you is revealin anything magical.. if you have a dog in your show and you teach it how to sit.. would that be the same

find any of tony clarks dvds he is one of the best

  • hey what r the names of your doves and do u mind making a video about basic dove care cuse im looking in to buying for magic and just a great pet,if u do make a video can u include price how messy where to buy and what to feed just the bacis and how noisy great video loved great job

  • java, white, sacred doves is all the same. But the most important thing to know is that they are RINGNECK Doves.

  • yeah good video, i hate when my doves get out of control and hit a wall like at 1:12
