Its funny to mention Jamie Cullum, I knew him befor Wouterhamel, I like his "those were the days", again because of unusual and effective use of chrds, rhythm and instruments.

With his amazing voice he has to be a little less unpretentious, simple. Than he could be a very big one(a Dutch expression for a very big star or something like that) His new song, breezy, is coming out recently.

Translation: Don't expect drama or difficult productions but a well-done easy listening pop-jazz record, a bit like Jamie Cullum or John Legend. Excellent choise for a first record in a small country like the Netherlands.

Translation: The Amsterdam release of this week is the cd from Wouter Hamel. This young jazz-singer won in 2005 the Dutch jazz-vocal contest and after that he calmly began with making his first cd. This cd now lies in store! (something like that :p)
The cd is recorded with producer Benny from 'Benny sings' and it has tempting 'vibe'.
