I really think Connie Francis is a Beautiful singer with an Amazing voice. This song especially reminds me of my mother. I remember her playing and singing along to this song and when I was small. She is is the light of my life! I have lost many family members who where still alive at this time in my life and this song brings back bitter sweet memories for me but I know one day we will all be together again. RIP Dad, Manuel, and Leroy!
@Jackie1957able just a hatefull, old Ukrainian Hillbilly who has nothing better to do then try to push her views on the rest of the world. Sorry you are so closed minded that you can't appreciate good music that crosses all age boundaries. When you talk about me seeming old you should really look in the mirror next time and hope that you don't break it. So go and get a life you FREAK!
I remember playing her song over and over again, I might have been ten years or less, I just remember I loved her voice and I tried to sing like her. I honestly don't know anyone one that sings as beautiful. as she did.
It has been 1 year today since my mom died. My mom would always cry when she heard this song because, she missed her mother so much when she died. Now she cries no more as they are together forever. So this song is for my mother...as she was my happiness. RIP mom I love you and will see you again one day.
She has the voice of an angle that can lull me to sleep. Her songs are like a blanket of sweet memories that can keep me warm on the coldest of nights. Her songs of love can bring sunshine to the shadows of my soul.! Will you fancy that I have a soft spot in my heart after all. Take care ADonovan43
Love this close harmony with herself. This takes me back to 1957 when I was about to graduate from high school and dreamt that one day I would come to the States and meet a gorgeous girl like Connie Francis with that beautiful voice. Well dreams can sometimes come true. Thanks for the upload of this wonderful memory.
@TGNolan01 my childhood memories also and I'm only 41...have sitting on my knee at the very moment a 45 rpm vinyl, the flip side of this is Happy Days and Lonely Nights. Shame there is not more of these artists around these days!! Brilliance at it's best I say! :-)
this is so connie---just her song, she kills this one.i don't know how many versions are do of this song but no one is even close.it sounds like billy vaughn backing, but i've never seen any credit for the great sax work.just rite
probably the best recorded version of this song. That's Boots Randolph on Tenor Sax in the background. When Connie got the RIGHT song, she could hit a grand slam. This is a great example....
BEAUTIFUL! I wonder if she's doing the harmony with herself because both voices sound like her. :) My Mom loved Connie Francis and it reminds me of her. Thank you for this post. :)
One of the wonderful recordings of my teenage years. Loved it then and forever. Gutted when my old dad told me it was an oldie from his time! Always love Connie and regret I never saw her live. Thanks for posting.
This woman could sing a song like nobody could. Absolutely the most beautiful voice ever set to music. This song is as classy as the lady who sings it.
Why is this very beautiful and extremely talented lady not in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame? There are too many in there who shouldn't be and yet people like Connie Francis and Neil Sedaka who both should be can't seem to be honored as they deserve to be. I guess it's who you know and not your talent and contributions to music.
@WendyKS93 Amen!!!!For years, Connie sold more records than any other female singer in history. She's not in the "hall of fame" because her music doesn't appeal to those who think " drugs. sex. rock and roll is what music is all about.
My Happiness - Francis, Connie [Newark, New Jersey] - No.02 for 2 weeks on 12/15/1958+. 14 weeks Top 40. - " Gold hit. Her BEST charter." - Gold (Polydor Disc 1)-2005.
So much reminds me of early 1959 and growing up in Visalia, CA. As a Freshman at Mt Whitney High, my friend and I used to wait for the bus after school and watch the older guys cruise by in their 'cool' cars. One guy had a black '58 Impala with the name "My Happiness" painted on the side. So cooolll. Wow, 14 to 66 flew by. The '50 were awesome and innocent.

@ttylifly65, your vignette of love is almost as beautiful as this song -- your mom and mine are probably singing harmony -- and NOT crying!
