We all have a large capacity for destructiveness and compassion. We should reiterate to comments that seem to us to be destructive with compassion. We have all said angry things out of frustration. But then again I am judging comments negatively myself. Reiterating to a seemingly hostile opinion with more hostility seems to only cause more hostility.

I have read at least one of this fellow's books. I liked it; I felt it was compassionate and helpful. It also made him or his monastery or something wealthy....I am a bit shocked by some of the comments below which I have actually read. I had only learned of this man's existence a few years ago, and this comes after watching videos of Rush and Ministry.

Thich nhat Hanh is just a propaganda tool for the communist regime in Vietnam. A leader of anti-war movement in Vietnam war, he turned a blind eye to Hue massacre of 5,000 civilians by Vietcong in 1968 and Vietnam invasion and occupation of Cambodia in 1978. In 2005 and 2007 he returned to Vietnam to help the communist regime to improve its bad image for human rights violations and religious oppression so that Vietnam could gain permanent normal trade status with the US.
