  • hello, i bought this and everyone of my gadjets including my computer say that the total capacity of this card was 29.7GB. is anyone else familiar with this problem, maybe mine's defective

  • @Volarknight This is common for all memory, your phone or compatible device will write system files etc to the card in order to make it work with the particular device.

  • @Volarknight @wirelessground

System files should not take up around 2 GiB :) Here is the explanation:

    A gigabyte[GB] is 10^9 byte = 1 000 000 000 bytes.

    A gibibyte[GiB] is 2^30 byte = 1 073 741 824 bytes.

Companies use GB, your computer (and you) use GiB. So to retrieve the amount of GiB's given that there are 32 GB's: (10^9/2^30)*32 = 29.802GiB, which is close to the 29.7 you mentioned, remember: "Some capacity (50-100MiB) not available for data storage".

  • for me it does not work with my nokia, nor my samsung

  • some people who bought it online keep getting cards with Class 4 written on it when its class 2 advertised, are they getting fake cards or legit cards from sandisk
