You got that right, Miami Vice is the best television series ever and even the other great 1980s' series do not compare. I love this song and this episode. Any show that has G Gordon Liddy and his thugs cutting off the ears of commies gets my full endorsement. CSI Miami always wanted to come close to Miami Vice - in nearly every way (scene applied music, cuts, characters). But they just try...

Too sleek, too synthetical, too cheesy...

They didn't need science-fiction touch-screen monitors for great TV series in the 80's.

And there's one big factor which makes the difference: Crockett was always COOOOL and Horatio get's more and more embarrassing!
