  • HECK ID WISH THE 80S WERE HERE ORRDALEY

  • Any way to find out if the instrumental version on the show can be purchased anywhere?

  • @donnieandsarah If you havn't found it yet there is an instrumental version here on the tube..have come across it a few times when looking for this

  • @leiefilm Thanks. I asked Steve this when I met him and he said to go ask the record company. He didn't have rights to hardly music he made.

  • I can still remember this haunting tune and video, from all that time ago.

Best TV series ever made, I really miss it

  • miami vice,,my all time favorite show

  • agree with jakemiller5000: NOTHING really touches the '80s. It's just something magical that will never come again, be it music, movies or whatever

  • @monere5 AMEN TO THAT

  • Best TV Series ever! Brings back good memories.

  • It only takes one scene to prove the brilliancy of this show. I would choose the opening scene of Stone's War with this mind-blowing track! Brilliant work, lad!

  • The Pontiff!

  • This song and this 80's series owns

  • Monday morning brings all kinds of questions!

  • Great song and great melody, I always like when musicians (especially as legendary as Steve Jones) explore the other sides of themselves

  • Great song!

  • holy crap this is steve jones from the sex pistols ?

  • @1234deedeeramone

    Yes, THAT Steve Jones.

  • @Quickterm

corrupción en Miami. Una inspiración para mí. Una forma de vida. Un estilo a seguir

  • @juanubas A qué te refieres con eso? Con una forma de vida y un estilo a seguir?

  • @juanubas

Tú lo has dicho, el hombre.

  • oh my God, this is 1 of my favorites !! thanks for uploading !!!

  • God, Miami Vice was the best show EVER.

  • NO! Was and will be!

  • You got that right, Miami Vice is the best television series ever and even the other great 1980s' series do not compare. I love this song and this episode. Any show that has G Gordon Liddy and his thugs cutting off the ears of commies gets my full endorsement. I wish they still made television like this, but now all we get is cheap reality crap and the same lame sit coms.

  • @Crimsonvata :

    By far, pal...

  • @Crimsonvata AMAZING SERIES NOWDAYS ARE SO WORST

  • @Crimsonvata Wise words, lad!

  • @Crimsonvata

No, it IS the best show EVER

  • @Crimsonvata lets not forget that Miami Florida is still ..at least in my opinion, one of the best "party cities" in the USA nuff said!!!

  • "Sandanista...EARS"

  • Don Johnson, Ferraris, Miami, a fucking gator on your yacht... it doesn't get any better than this

  • @nievasdario true but hate to think what happen when you come home shit faced an put your foot a bit to near the jaws

  • One of the best songs in this great series!!!

  • 0:16 is Bob Balalan, president of NBC Russell Dalrymple from SEINFELD! "Get a good look Costanza?" Great guitar work!

  • LOL!!

  • Stupid video with this - the idea that some old Yank Tank would stand a chance against one of Enzo's beasts is just crap.

    But great song, great artist

  • Lol 3:18 - do you think that's where Horatio Caine of CSI miami got his signature sunglasses moves from? Miami Vice kicks ass.

  • well shouldn't put the idea of it under a chair.but i think the move is older than the 80s

  • @HuDaFuk:

    I think the same. ;-)

CSI Miami always wanted to come close to Miami Vice - in nearly every way (scene applied music, cuts, characters). But they just try...

Too sleek, too synthetical, too cheesy...

They didn't need science-fiction touch-screen monitors for great TV series in the 80's.

And there's one big factor which makes the difference: Crockett was always COOOOL and Horatio get's more and more embarrassing!

  • Bullseye pal you 100% right , CSI it´s no where near close besides Miami vice was fully shoot in Miami CSI is not sad ¡ , they need more brain´s to como close to it , chears from overs seas

  • This is a great record to listen to when your drunk. I love Steve Jones but this is the only track on the record worth listening to sober.

  • Have always loved this song since I first heard it way back in the 80s.....rock on. :)

  • that chick at 2:11 is a babe.

  • Didn't realize this was from Pistols' guitarist ...guess he was getting away from his wall of guitars sound here... any ways I thought this was a pretty cool episode with old GG Liddy

  • "There better be an eagle on your I.D. pal"

  • Comment removed

  • Nothing touches the '80s.

    FUCK AMY WINEHOUSE!

  • Well said bro, Amy Winehouse is fucking shit!

  • Everytime the radio stations play shit from this crack addict my ears get raped. I switch stations ASAP but nothing plays '80s these days. :(

  • @jakemiller5000 Shes proper fucked now lol

  • "Buy your Gold where I buy Mine!" Actually, second best ever Miami Vice tune, behind Godley and Creme (Definitely Miami-1986)...

  • I saw this and laughed because it was a great comment... And walked out of the room to the television, and I kid you not that Rosland Capital commercial came on right there.

  • amazing tune, every time I listen to it feels like the first time...thanx for posting. Miami Vice forever...

  • Gotta get me one of those, um, cell phones.

  • Awesome in all the ways...(clip-song-M Vice style...) !!!

  • you should clearly go back and get that same lawyer and sue your school system you are definatly uneducated

  • Why are you so sure abut that?

  • ang bagsik ng kanta

  • No I didn´t knew that he played with Adam and , but i´ll sure check it out..

I know who adam ant is ofcourse....

and I also know who steve is... Miauw:-)

    happy new year.

  • Did you know he played with Adam Ant around this time?? "Goody two shoes"

  • To the first 2 of you.

As Sex Pistols fan and having Steve Jones as my favorite Pistol.

I must say. This is not a shity song , it´s different. And that´s what Steve really is.

    Different in a nice way.

Sounds a little like Billy Idol.

But you can´t compare Steve To anyone.

    Steve is Steve Awesome.

    Love from DK

  • steve jones is rock!!! even playing this shity song!!! I know man, you needed money...

good job for a comercial 80s song

  • Sounds like a Billy Idol song.

  • great ballad,from steve jones.

  • Oh my gosh,! love this song, and episode! have not seen in ever so long! thanks a bazillion for posting! 5 stars for sure and 10+ easy! thanks!

  • we all have our demons mate!!

  • Best song ever. I want to start a campaign to make this number 1. I heart Steve Jones. He is my favorite Sex Pistol/ professional/ DJ on indie 103.

  • What a cool song...I only wish bands today can make sounds like this.

  • One of the best marriages of song and content in any episode/season of Miami Vice.

  • for sure. "closer to heavan" by Alan Parsons was also one of the best, which featured Lou Diamond Phillips

  • mushthepig: I agree. One of my top ten episodes. I saw it last week. More than 15years have passed since I watched the show as a kid. I didn't get much but I digged the music and the "MTV style" of M.V. !! Crockett's theme is a killer!

  • brilliant song, sublime episode

  • Make more like these clips from MV :)

  • awesome song ...even better show the music always seems to fit the scene with the vice it's great

  • Airdate: Stones War October 3, 1986. Two days after the airing of this episode Eugene Hasenfus Fairchild C-123 Cargo Plane employed by the CIA shotdown October 5, 1986 the first incident to unravel the Iran Contra Operation. I wonder if G. Gordon Liddy served as a Technical Advisor for this episode.

  • Indirectly shows that Reagan was nothing more than a real deuchebag , and he was surrounded by a bunch of mercenaries like Oliver North and his henchman ( Eugene Hasenfus ) ,but the episode is magnificent and the song is second to none .

  • I disagree, Oliver North is a true American Hero and Ronald Reagan was one of the best Presidents of the 20th Century.

  • i luv his tune!!!!

  • This episode is based from the "Iran-Contra affair" during the Ronald Regan`s administration, no?

It`s my favourite Miami Vice episode of all!!!

  • OMFG, AWESOME!

  • This images is from MIAMI VICE tv show, from the episode "Stone's war". This episode are available on dvd: ("MIAMI VICE season 3")

  • this song is sweet. I love the bells in the background. It totally makes it what it is.the lead singer sounds like Danzig on Quayludes!!!

  • excellent song
