One of the few things I enjoyed about this game. Unfortunately, due to the overly-cartoony and ridiculous units (With their yellow outlines and catchphrases), it didn't have a very high replay value for me. Sure, Red Alert 2 was cartoony as well, but it just seemed...well, better.

@NurseNekoNeko: Actually, the EA-Westwood point was a relevant one in this case: EA seems to ruin everything they get their hands on.

Red Alert 1 and 2 were cartoony, no doubt about it, but for the third game the main selling point seemed to be displaying tits and ass to get minors to want to play it. Pretty pathetic, really. Considering the idea of the 'Empire of the Rising Sun', they could have done so much better, but EA always seem to fall short of a good game.

@NurseNekoNeko: I haven't played those as I don't enjoy racing games as much. I know BioWare have certainly made excellent games, as have DICE, but my main beef with them is for the multitude of crap games in the RTS and RPG genre that they have released in the past. I'd like to think that the evil empire has finally come to an end and that they're really getting better now, but time will tell I suppose. It's difficult to forgive for about a decade of shameless advertising and money-grubbing.

@NurseNekoNeko: To me, the biggest tragedy is the EA takeover of Westwood. The second biggest tragedy, though it's a close one, is their job on the Lord of the Rings franchise. Now, aside from Lord of the Rings Online, which is free and quite good, they have really just churned out cash-in games that lure you in with fancy graphics and are shit when you play them. They give the impression that they'd step over their own mothers for money. Ever hear about the Sims 2 'IKEA' expansion pack?
