i gotta say price of exsistance was the best metal album ever written. every single song on the album was perfect and different. ive never heard an ablum that EVERY song was amazing. and the vocals were so good with the amazing range he used to have. awakin the dreamers was good but the vocals were not the same and chris storey was too busy showin off that he forgot to write breakdowns. Its not possible to top price of exsistance, but i hope this album ties it.

Sounds awesome, its got that type of feel where you just get lost in the music. This is the type of jam where I go into total zone out mode and the music is the only thing thats reality. (If you know what I mean.)

@ixrxthethorn Who are the "scenefagcore" bands that use them? I can only think of one band who uses them only for the bottom strings and that's Suicide Silence. After The Burial, ASP, Periphery, Animals As Leaders, Whitechapel, Tre Watson, Keith Merrow, The Acacia Strain, and plenty of other bands use them "correctly". And who gives a fuck if they want to use them anyways? More 8 string publicity, more 8 string production, more access to 8 strings.
@ibz11 Whitechapel did a terrible job with them, although I'll give you AAL and Periphery, two fucking mindblowingly amazing bands, but the Acacia strain will do the same thing, just use them for breakdowns and only incorporate the 2 lowest strings with some occasional dissonant leads that a retarded monkey could play
@ixrxthethorn i think it's not about the fact that if someone uses an 8 string he has to do technical stuff. Some bands just want to use very low notes to create a particular sound (like deftones)
Obviously there will always be bands like suicide silence that are just pointless or like the acacia strain that just want to be more aggressive on breakdowns using a lower tuning
I think that the fact that ASP are doing 5 songs out of 12 with 8 strings give them credit for not being like those bands

@ibz11 it's a fad because bands who aren't talented or heavy enough to use them creatively are the ones who keep getting them and using them to play retarded breakdowns on the F# instead of growing up. There are probably line 3 really talented bands who actually use 8 strings, so it's a scenecore fag fad now...

@ixrxthethorn Who are the "scenefagcore" bands that use them? I can only think of one band who uses them only for the bottom strings and that's Suicide Silence. After The Burial, ASP, Periphery, Animals As Leaders, Whitechapel, Tre Watson, Keith Merrow, The Acacia Strain, and plenty of other bands use them "correctly". And who gives a fuck if they want to use them anyways? More 8 string publicity, more 8 string production, more access to 8 strings.

@ibz11 Whitechapel did a terrible job with them, although I'll give you AAL and Periphery, two fucking mindblowingly amazing bands, but the Acacia strain will do the same thing, just use them for breakdowns and only incorporate the 2 lowest strings with some occasional dissonant leads that a retarded monkey could play

@ixrxthethorn i think it's not about the fact that if someone uses an 8 string he has to do technical stuff. Some bands just want to use very low notes to create a particular sound (like deftones)
Obviously there will always be bands like suicide silence that are just pointless or like the acacia strain that just want to be more aggressive on breakdowns using a lower tuning
I think that the fact that ASP are doing 5 songs out of 12 with 8 strings give them credit for not being like those bands
