  • Is sometimes with the "maybe baby"

  • sounds like breakin' & graffiti music to me

  • Scan my brain and find that I fuckin love this song.

  • Nice - they had their sound even 2 years before "Anyone". I miss the classic sound they had - the lofi sound is powerful.

  • much better than thievery corporation and asian dub foundation nowdays, olso much influence we can say on massive attack

  • @dexdazebra

couldn't agree more, gotta give props where it is due! this the real deal ;)

this is SOOOOOO ahead of it's time for 86!

Have been into their sound since the early 90's, but this really puts things in perspective

  • If this is dubstep, then my asshole shits blood.

  • @TomxLx93 Welcome to the world of an influence my friend, there was music before Dubstep! I don't know where you're from, but Dubstep wouldn't exist without places like Bristol...long live the Bristol Sound!

  • @TomxLx93 dude if you can not read it says the first look it up in Wikipedia is says plain in simple were very experimental and dark

  • and people thought skream started this shit

  • @PensiveIntent Evolution of music.. this evolved from somewhere too, just like Skream's tracks. Big up to the mighty Smith & Mighty but also big up to Skream and all future producers!!

  • do they sell this for download anywhere?

  • sounds like a fl studio clap

  • this is an amazing piece of history!

  • its TRIP-HOP YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • sounds dope! using very 80's machines (808, 909) and making a fat dub sound!

  • sick tune, at least something good came out of the 80's haha

  • @DarthBiggles lolol its like the father of dubstep its not good yet xD but nice tune ...

    (keep smiling everyone ^^ )

  • Wow... usually the "first" of something is lame and terrible. But I'm feelin' this track like crazy! Nice up

  • @dfekety probably the stupidest thing I've read in a good while. What on Earth are you basing that on?

  • In the Bristol museum, (cant remember the name, but its at the top of Park Street), they had an incredible exibition of the "Bristol Scene" in the Dug Out club, where they played, and loads of other incredible Dub or Ska bands played. with great photos of the time.

  • smith & mighty in the house

  • WHOA...

  • legends legends legends

  • Trying to find a Smith and Mighty tune i heard on a pirate radio station driving through London, sometime in the middle 90's. I remember it sounded like it was going backwards.

  • Try 'Hold On (Strange Mix)' or 'Drowning' off of 'Bass is Maternal'. Killer album.

  • this tune is dope!

  • this track was done using just a 707. sh101and a casio cz101. we hadn't even heard of midi then we used the 707 to trigger the sh101and the casio was live .if we had to do this track on new equipment it just wouldn't be the same .long live the sh101.cz101.707

  • so deam' good 4 the cheesy eightieths

  • Trying to find a version of "Walk On" by Smith & Mighty, any help appreciated. Thanks for posting this, is a cool treat.

  • i can send it you. however, its from a mix cd, so not a clean version .. ie mixed in and out..

  • Thanks bro. I do actually have a clean version on vinyl, which I guess I should post up for you all to enjoy later today... I was hoping to find a video for it though. Also, f you feel the urge make a request, I'll come close as I can to it if I dont have it.
