@TomxLx93 Welcome to the world of an influence my friend, there was music before Dubstep! I don't know where you're from, but Dubstep wouldn't exist without places like Bristol...long live the Bristol Sound!
@PensiveIntent Evolution of music.. this evolved from somewhere too, just like Skream's tracks. Big up to the mighty Smith & Mighty but also big up to Skream and all future producers!!
In the Bristol museum, (cant remember the name, but its at the top of Park Street), they had an incredible exibition of the "Bristol Scene" in the Dug Out club, where they played, and loads of other incredible Dub or Ska bands played. with great photos of the time.
Trying to find a Smith and Mighty tune i heard on a pirate radio station driving through London, sometime in the middle 90's. I remember it sounded like it was going backwards.
this track was done using just a 707. sh101and a casio cz101. we hadn't even heard of midi then we used the 707 to trigger the sh101and the casio was live .if we had to do this track on new equipment it just wouldn't be the same .long live the sh101.cz101.707
Thanks bro. I do actually have a clean version on vinyl, which I guess I should post up for you all to enjoy later today... I was hoping to find a video for it though. Also, f you feel the urge make a request, I'll come close as I can to it if I dont have it.
@bristolyoutubization Thanks, yeah I shoulda added the link sorry - oops - just tried to but cant post it... anyway - click thru to my profile/vids/etc - its right there - just a slide show of stuff around my area...
@bristolyoutubization - Care to tell me when and for how much? I've never seen a copy of this record for sale, on eBay or Discogs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
@billycrystalfingers I was talking about Anyone and Walk On. Brain Scan doesn't appear to have been released until Angels Egg picked it up for a 7" release in Japan. Very hard to get hold of!

Nice - they had their sound even 2 years before "Anyone". I miss the classic sound they had - the lofi sound is powerful.

Try 'Hold On (Strange Mix)' or 'Drowning' off of 'Bass is Maternal'. Killer album.
