It's "Hissatsu" in the original, literally "sure-kill" or "certain death": it's commonly used to describe super moves and the like. It really can be translated either way, but I think "Deathblow!" describes it a bit better.
And you got the reason for Parreaux's name on the dot. Her name's pronounced "Paaro" in Japanese and given as "Parot" in the original ending cast list; it seemed to me they were going for a faux-French name, so I simply used a different one. ^_^
(Though funnily enough, Death Note: The Kira Game for DS has "Hissatsu Hatsugen" which I was going to call "Special Statements"...)
Anyways, I don't know why the cockroach glitch happens; it's been documented but I've never replicated it. I think it might be emulator-specific; the only thing I can be vaguely sure of is it's probably not my fault. ^_^;
