@MrPowderedToastMan They are planning to perpetuate their characters or alter-egos by bringing younger band members for eternity, even after Paul and Gene finally retire. That's cool, young forever, like superheroes (that's what they are, after all).
@MrPowderedToastMan Hey, if KISS gives it a "rest" what will be left? I rather have KISS rather tahn rap,Mtv,American Kareoke Idol and talentless teen garbage like Beyonce or useless and pointless hip hop
hell, i'm in this vid...when the cam scans the people in the front row, i can be seen @ 0:35, about 4 faces down the line...... hee hee hee!......cool!

i was at this show...in the front row against the wall....got me some gene blood, some cool pics @ portland maine 1983.....night ranger opened.....next.
Dude idk why this tour didn't do so well in america? It's so fucking stupid how everyone wanted the real heavyness from KISS and when they gave it too them they just stood there.
@twoo57 You are so right. One of the best concerts I have ever attended was CREATURES and it was so awesome, I was jumping on my chair for 2 hours straight (2 row floor seats, leftish of center)! Vinnie was AWESOME!! Cool tank on stage that fired unmercifully as the speakers blew out my eardrums! LOVED IT!!
@twoo57 One of the reasons, if not the main reason, why the COTN tour had limited success in America was b/c it was1/2 original line-up and 1/2 replacements. Although the music was tight and good, the fact that new characters mixed w/ 1/2 original line-up didn't seem to fly.
Some countries outside of the U.S. wanted Kiss, and got them. Gene was quoted, and Im paraphrasing, that in the last concert in Rio in June 1983 he was already thinking about removing the make-up.
The Creatures Of The Night tour is interesting. It was the only tour they were a real heavy metal band, with pure metal songs and sound, with the make-up on. It was a perfect match. I think it's a shame it didn't last. Vinne and Gene looked like apes in the Lick It Up video. :)
Yeah but, even after he left, KISS was still awesome, catchy fun music.... they would not have been that big if they went totally heavy, just fun rock & roll!
Yeah, would've liked to have seen him last a little longer as I think the band would've stayed with a harder sound longer before turning to that "keyboard pop rock" in the late 80's.
You heard wrong. All there is of Detroit on the Creatures tour is much like this where a local TV crew interviewed the band before the show and took a few shots of the first song. or two It's been floating around in the collecters circles for years, but it's not a full show. No full show of Creatures seems to exist, pro shot or fan shot. Even the Montreal show is chopped up, and it's probably the closest thing to a full Creatures show we'll ever see. The Rio show is only partial.
After all these mostly boring footages of the last 10 years it's very refreshing to see pieces like this. They were very energetic on that tour, to say the least!
I know they still sell out with tours, but really - KISS last good album was Revenge. And that was almost 20 years ago! And it wasn't even that great!
Please, KISS, give it a rest. 70 year olds in make-up living off their past achievements aint cool.

How much make-up... sorry i mean face-paint... were you wearing when you typed that?
Keep living in the 70's pal. Throw on your Kiss 8-tracks and drink some warm milk and relax.

@southplnk
You are the one all rage-filled and slinging insults because someone doesn't share your opinion on a rock band!
Don't be delusional - you are the douche, and I feel bad for those who have to deal with you daily!
One more thing - learn punctuation before you refer to others as "clueless", lest you continue to look like an idiot!
Peace!

0:05 lol Vinnie looks like he's saying, "Hey! Lemme be on camera! I'm wanted! I'm hot! I'm everything you're not! XD"

@EvanescenceXKISS Gene was nudging him out of the way!! I agree, Vinnie should have gotten some camera time.

@wouldntyoulike2know I hate Gene's fucking selfish personality. Paul should be the main member, NOT Gene! Paul seems to be a lot more chill.

@carnivalofsouls2047 I would hardly call a 14 song show 2 hours. It was more like 80 minutes if that.
