Gorbachev was well meaning but incompetent. Boris Yeltsin was corrupt and sold out his country to stay in power. Putin is an opportunist and his policies make the Russians feel better in the short term but will utlimately fail miserably. His success is powered by the rising price of oil, nothing more.

putin is an amazing president smart, rightouse, and he bring benefit to russians, many other powers see a rise in russian strength like the communist era, but less brutal, and want to weakon putin, who knows people like kasparov could be funded by countries econmicly to weakon putin and hes amazing campaign, i am for putin and russia, and hope they suceed well :)
