  • When Someone In The House Yells My Parrot Goes "Break Yo Self Foooo"

    :D

  • Who dislikes this??!?!?!

  • @killdude26...thats importing an inllgal bird so dont try!!!:D...

  • Einstein

  • I'm glad I did some research before I got a bird. No disrespect to bird lovers, but I'll stick with cats. (They are beautiful animals, though)

  • I have an Eclectus male age 9. They are wonderful.. I think smarter than any dog or cat i've had.. but... DON'T even THINK of getting one if you can't be home for him/her most all the time.

They are like 3 years-old in intelligence and need constant companionship for 50 years!

Make sure you're ready for that!

You will kill one of these wonderful angels with loneliness if you can't be around.

People buy them and then can't be responsible and they end up orphans. Don't do that!

  • I want a toucan

  • I have a cockatiel and he is a pretty good whistler.

  • @Themizuwolf parakeet = budgie

  • Comment removed

  • @Themizuwolf Look at how everyone marked your comment as spam, it's because you're stupid. you "looked it up" eh? well I can tell you that "parakeet" is a subspecies of parrot. for instance, indian ringnecks are of the parakeet species. "budgies" are commonly called parakeets in most american pet stores, you dolt. how about you look that up?

  • i dont think this is a good reference for proper parrot care. 1) Parrots are very senstive to germs and bacteria so sanitation is SUPER important. Also, any scents are toxic, as are avacado, chocolate, sugar, and salt. Plus PELLETS are NOT BEST !!! pellets should only make up 1/3 or less of their diet and fresh and fruits and veggies should be the bulk. additionally feather plucking is stress-related and is usually caused by lack of intellectual stimulation.

  • pet 101: girlfriend.

  • i want a parrot just so i can teach it profanity.

  • Polly wanna cracker-er-er-er LOVE IT :L

  • My friend had a macaw and he is a brat but sweet.

  • i have a lovebird

  • I would start with a smaller bird, like a parakeet, and work my way up to the bigger Macaws. Good idea, yes?

  • @Homestar98 I think u would only be able to have 2 or 3 and then u would die cause they live up to 50 years

  • wow, marie antoinette sure had a lot of pets

  • 1:45 That parrot is a sentry!

  • @himoms1001 are you serious? lol

  • 1:45 I can see that not lasting long in my house lol

  • "live long lives." So how long is that? 10 years? 25 years? 1,000years?!

  • @justincabell It depends on the species-- budgies usually live around 10 years, while larger species like macaws & amazons usually live well over 50 years.

  • @justincabell its says at 2:23 that they live 50 yrs.

  • now u have ur own alarm system without causing u a single million. :D

  • @Midara106 alarm system companies will go bankrupt, u jelly alarm salesmen?

    lol trollface

  • @alexiscool33 nah, just wanted to share. >_> u know for homes.

  • Putting a parrot in your will? Are they serious?

  • i have a grey african named billy he's not cool but noisy

  • coc tale 0:12 Kanye 0:14 MyClaws 0:16 Amazon 1:17 1:19 cocTunes

  • 1)Not all parrots are tame and sit on your hand2)all parrots bite3)Different parrots need different cages like African greys need smaller cages then amazons even though they are the same size4)They cost ALOT5)Parrots are like 3 year old childeren that never speep inthe day6)They can be very loud7)Mine was so smart that she found out how to get out of the cage and eat some chocolate so i spent ALOT of money on that8)you should say that you should start with a small bird and they need an AVIAN VET

  • There weren't dinosaurs 50 million years ago xD they died out ~65 million years ago

  • I wish i had a macaw, i love big parrots so much)))

  • this was a cute video, but really not very informative. So many things are passed over, which is why so many people buy birds without understanding what they're getting themselves into.

  • @copperchan I totally agree with you! This makes it sound like having a parrot is easy but it is more like having a 3 year old that hardely ever sleeps...

  • @watercatfish It disturbs me a little that they feature the female Eclectus several times, They're as hormonal and unpredictable as male cockatoos, and just like them with proper raising they can be great companions if given respect but most people don't know this. I have a Galah who had been abused and today after lots of work she is a fantastic bird, although doesn't act at all like how a galah should.

  • @copperchan i know! It is also bad that they showed birds with messed up feathers as if they are saying that it is perfectly normal... Birds really shouldnt be the type of pet that you make comersials for they are far to exotic.

  • My bros friend, bird (nickname) loves birds, he has a parot (no idea what kind) (lets call the bird bob cause i dont know what the name is) and he called my bro, crying. Hes like bob layed eggs. So funny he had the bird idk i think pretty long and thought it was a guy the whole time

  • I have had 3 love birds my 1st was the most unloved pet ive ever had, i usually get super attatched to my pets but the jerk flew out of the cage and i couldnt feed it cause it would bite me (yes, it did get fed. by my family) it drew blood and my mom still has a scar (we had it 7 yrs ago) the other 2 werent really like pets more like awesome decorations that stare at you. but they wernt as bad as the first, but at least love birds dont chirp alot

  • I have quakers and conures, the're annoyingly lound but I love them!!!! XD

  • Narrator @ 3:02: So a parrot needs a large cage, at least twice the size of his wingspan.

THAT'S A FEMALE ECLECTUS YOUR SHOWING! XD

  • i want a macaw so bad!!

  • @AmericanAviator, The plumage don't enter into it... it's still dead.

  • In addition, all birds bite! It's a FACT. Whether from fear, curiosity, ill health, over stimulation, territoriality, etc. - your parrot will bite at some point and it WILL hurt and maybe even cause damage. Parrots are not right for most ppl. Don't succumb to temptation w/o researching them very thoroughly first. Then, ADOPT!

  • This video doesn't even begin to touch on the complexity of pet parrots. For example, no mention was made of the huge cost of parrot toys which they MUST have for mental and physical health. Parrots destroy their toys fast and they have to be replaced. This is just one of many essential issues to know about w/parrots.

  • I used to have Parrots but not anymore just a German shepherd dog :P

  • there it should be parrots 101!!

  • I agree they should do a whole series on parrots. If you want a gentle/quiet bird, I recommend a Meyers parrot. They are great and require about 20 min. a day out of the cage. Great bird! I love you Pokie!!!!!!!

  • parrot:"im a pretty bird,im a pretty bird''

me:*sniff* ''ok please be quietezzz. you r pretty now shhhhh''

    parrot:''i am a pretty bird,i am a pretty bird,i am a....''

me:*criessss criesss sniff* ''i am a pretty human"'

    parrot:*grr* ''shush it,

    im the one whos pretty''

  • i ahve two bourkes parakeets very pretty!inlet them fly around but the prefer to sit on thier cage unless you have food then they want some XD

  • if i had one, i'd teach him/her to cuss *trollface*

  • I had a parakeet as a little kid (2nd grade and older) he was nervous at first but eventually sat on my shoulder, back and head. We used to play games and dance... I miss him :) he even sat on my pillow and and woke me up in the morning

  • I ❤ parrots

  • i have a parrekeet but i want to get an amazon or an african grey

  • teach your parrot to say "Help! they've turned me into a parrot"

    PROFIT!!!

  • @Kidmusashi badass

  • i have a macaw...and he eats peanuts all the time. I would say thats highly unlikely

  • My parrot's breeder told me that there was evidence suggesting that peanuts in their shell can cause inflammation in the chest, increasing the likelihood of feather plucking in parrots.

  • I have an Indian ringneck, an African grey, an Amazon, two cockatoos, a budgie, and two conures, and I can say from experience that different species of parrots have drastically different personalities. I don't think they should lump all of them together; they should have a Birds 101 that covers the different species, the same way that they do with cats and dogs.

  • i had a female loving-bird she was so aggressive against my uncle cat, that she beat up that cat since that day that cat have more respect for that bird then for any body

  • Comment removed

  • Luv this.... I have a cockatiel named checkers :)

  • I have a Indian ringneck for 3 months now n I can even feed it through the side of the cage it's just starts to scream n scream. Since the day I bought my bird it nvr allowed me to even feed it. And they say " birds are great pets" fuck that mine just screams all day I'm gettin tired of it. My birds sucks dick. Any tips or advice would be appreciated....

  • @Toxiop Obviously you didn't do research. Did you miss out on the tons of sources that say birds are hard to take care of and scream constantly?

  • @Toxiop you probably got a non hand rainsed parrot. (wich means it wasnt rainsed by humans so it isnt use to humans) I would say just give it time. BUT if you are truly not enjoying your bird then I would suggest you look into getting a different HAND-RAISED bird. Indian Ringnecks are great birds when hand raised. and hold and spend time with the bird befor you buy it. BUT before you buy a different bird then make sure your bird goes to a LOVING home.

  • @macanmllvr yea u might be right my bird isnt hand-raised its only a year old. i see i see thanks thought

  • im 11 now. when i was 2 my parrents got rid of our parrot. I wish i had it. that was a dumb move for my parrents

  • awe budgie? they are parrots too

  • @rainbowseason thats a love bird, just amercan's making stupid non indeginous names for them

  • if i ever got a parrot the first thing i would teach it to say is what the fuck r u looking at so if any1 would look at it it would say that it would hilarious!! lol

  • 50 years holy crap

  • I used to have a lovebird, but I think she had a traumatic past so she was very stressed out and bit a lot.

I hope to get a parrot one day.. they can be so funny!

  • 1:46 i would like to buy that alarm clock for my girlfriend.

  • Rio!

  • 0:58 Tom and Jerry. At least that's what I think of with that music.

  • my neighbor had a parrot named ralph, and we would always watch him (and all her other pets) when she went on vacation. he was always trying to nip at your fingers when you fed him though.

  • Everytime I get on here for music, i end up in animal planet videos! O.O

  • Most of the time, a bird will be scared of your hand when you first bring it home. Yes, it will bite you, scream at you, etc.

However, once they are tame and bond with you, they make really good pets. Most people dont know how great birds can be.

I've had a bird that would cuddle with me, follow me everywhere, play, fetch, learn tricks, and more. Love them.

  • oh ya and my parakeet was NOT friendly everytime i gently tryed to hold it it SCREAMED and pecked the crap out of me. I took great care of them and this is what i get?! :(

  • for those people that are getting a parrot, dont, i had two and they pooped all over the counter along with a sea of feathers! they can cause several dangerous diseases that can harm people like going blind they can cause that because they are so filthy . i loved them but they caused a MESS! you can get any other cute animal a bird is not the only one.

  • Im going to teach a parrot to say 'fuck off obama!'

  • Birds are so awesome ^3^

  • owihfoiewf I have two peach faced love birds! They're still babies, and they can even say hello since I keep repeating it over 20 times u w u

  • i had two love birds. one was the same as the one in this video, the other was a peach faced. they were loud, messy, annoying and destructive. But i loved and enjoyed every moment with them...<3

Just be careful and aware of what the put in their mouth. one of mine died from eating the glue from the spine of a book... and the other, ripping off the corner Wallpaper!

  • Thumbs up if you have a bird!

  • hey! they aren't pets! shouldn't be!

  • @pnrgrbz well, their mimic abilitys makes your wish impossible...

  • quaker=worst fucking bird EVER

  • let birds be free

  • i have 2 kayeks and 6 love birds :D

  • what kind of parot at 0:53

  • @wiwolfdagreat1 Female Eclectus Parrot

  • or budgies!

  • @TheBunnylover01 back then there commercial ad was toilet paper and it came on every video

  • Keep away from oven cleaner haha

  • Once, I went to my cousin's house, and saw her neighbor's parrots. One of them only knew simple words like hello and goodbye, but the other larger one knew the f word... oh my, was I shocked.

  • A guy I had know had an all-out whistle war with a parrot. He lost.

  • Lovely bird, the Norwegian Blue! Gorgeous plumage!

  • He forgot to mention that parrots are the most fucking annoying animal I've ever heard of in my life.

  • A Parrot can be older than me

  • i like the love bird

  • Parrots are a TON of work, they need attention 24/7, are loud and can produce massive vet bills. They are like 4 year olds that you are stuck with for your entire life. Do lots of research before you get any bird! They are not easy pets!!! WAY to many end up at shelters because their owners can't commit, care for them or because they feather pluck and no longer look nice.

  • Birds aren't meant to be in captivity this is completely unnatural and overall leads to problematic behaviors.

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd No animal is meant to be in captivity at first. Do you think dogs have been always that tame? No. They come from wolves. And cats come from wildcats that can bring down ox. Some animals do well in captivity and some don't. We keep them in captivity to conserve them or enjoy them. Life without pets or animals is a miserable one.

  • @FattyDudley

I'm not trying to be an ass, but didn't domestic cats come from smaller cats like the african wildcat and asiatic desert cat?

  • @FlowingDepths I'm pretty sure I said wildcat.

  • I have two african peach face love birds their names are akumel (named after akumel bay) and Peaches because she looks like one ofthous fuzzy peach candies

  • Fuck birds I have 5 budgies and they don't do shit people told me I had to wait so they get used to their new home I waited 5 fucking months now and they don't let me take them.

  • @Canadahhhh When you have more than one budgie they become a flock and ignore you. It's more like owning fish. If you get one budgie, it'll think your it's flock and bond to you. No need to swear, just do the research.

  • @Canadahhhh

    Did you buy them handraised?

  • @Canadahhhh well your the idiot who didnt do research! birds flock when in numbers, they dont care about you as much. so its ur own damn fault. not theirs. so fuck you

  • What about Budgerigars? (Commonly known as Budgies)

  • @MegaSyd2000 the mentioned parakeets, which are related to the budgies :)

  • @Rily279 Budgerigars are parakeets. There are several species of parakeets, but budgies are the species most commonly owned as pets. In the US, birds of that particular species are usually referred to just as parakeets rather than budgerigars or budgies.

  • Alexander is not the great he's Macedonian

  • Polly want a cracker?

  • 0:51 that parrot sounds like he's mimicking an angry bird sound effect :)

  • at 0:24 that parrot looks like scooter (he is a parrot at a army navy store)

  • 0:27 the bird on the left is like oh sh-BEEP

  • pellet food is best? Are you kidding?

I feed my parrot fruits, nuts, seeds and sometimes the occasional blooming flower. never processed foods :/

  • im surprised the african grey and the other bird at the beggining didnt fight???

  • "I WANT CRACKER"

  • lol lazerbeak from transformers dark of the moon at 1:31

  • the bird at :12 doesnt look like a parakeet...

  • wait my bird has five toes 0.0

  • And the smaller birds don't bite that hard. They just kinda nibble or pinch, but the bigger ones you def want to watch out for!

  • My family had a parakeet, he lived a long time. We don't know exactly how long (we got him from another family), maybe 12-15 years? He never tried to imitate anything (but I've heard they can). Once birds get older they tend to stay in their cages, or maybe walk around. (Sweetheart died a few months ago :/ ) they really are great pets, I think it's better if you buy a pair tho.

  • what, parakeets count as parots, cool so i had a parot when i was like 6, i miss them

  • I want a Ara macow = ( to bad I can't afford one nor do I have the space in my house to keep one. Well a young pirate can dream. . . Arrrgh.

  • the bird on the front cover is the type of bird at the pet store that i've made friends with even though there was a warning that said caution this bird will bite but i've known that bird for so long, I don't think he will try to bite me and he never has bitten me once =)

  • It fucking hurts when they bite you.

  • I really like violet masked lovebirds!!

  • I would love to own an African Grey, but for now, I'm extremely happy with my 6yr old Budgie.

I use to have 5 Budgies (1998-2004) who had free flight 24/7 in my room. Since then I have never confined a bird to his/her cage. Only when it's absolutely necessary do I close the cage door.

  • They pick at their wings?:/ cause they don't belong in cages:/ I think a budgie is your best bet ours was out pretty much all the time unless we were too busy or it was bed time he'd fly from person to person.

  • i had 2 female budgies April and Amanda

  • I have two parrots. One female Sun Conure that we bought at a store when she was a baby, and one male Double Yellow Headed Amazon that we received through a rescue program. Poor Amazon was mentally abused.

  • i used to have a cockateal....*sob*

  • Norwegian Blue. Beautiful plumage.

  • Sonic Adventure 1 Noise @ 0:50

  • our friend has got a love bird that sleeps with her on the bed!when the quilt falls he goes and picks it up such a cutie pie

  • My budgies hate me :(

  • @chickenpoodle009 Wear gloves :3

  • my grandmas parrot used to ask for coke!

  • I have an African grey congo who talks up a strom! He will say good morning and good night. He's silly baby boy. He sounds just like my dad when he says things and when the phone rings, he makes the phone ring and then say "hello?"

  • I have a wonderful caique!

  • They are very noisy and you have to be careful of what you say around them. You also have to be careful because they have very powerful beaks. When I was in a hotel in Florida they had parrots and the guy told me one of the birds bit the tip of a broomstick off.

  • 1 of my friends has a macaw...they r very common were i live (honduras)...they are lovely with their owners but not with other people, she bit me and ripped my shoe lol

  • HI, PICASSO

  • @JacqelineGold where is not everywhere

  • I love parrots they are the best birds ever

  • awesome parrots are cool

  • 0:26 im going to die

  • what about budgies!!!!!!???!!!!!!

  • @tibab88 parakeets are the same

  • @JoaniMaster not true

  • @JoaniMaster no parakeets and parrots are different

  • @cheezegirlz - Parakeets are parrots. They are all members of the ordo Psittaciformes.

  • @cheezegirlz i mean parakeets and budgies and budgerigars are the same
