Why do people have to assume that if a horse as good as sea biscuit wins a big race like that, that it's being administered drugs to enhance its performance, why can't you just accept the fact, sea biscuit was an all time great! Idiots!
Why do people post partial videos? Why not just put the whole race? Or at least the last lap to the finish line. I don't get it and its a little frustrating.
There have been allegations that Seabiscuit was administered ephedrine (a stimulant that enhances performance) by Tom Smith. Smith was actually busted for spraying this substance in the nostrils of a later horse and suspended for a year. I mean, Biscuit does little at 2 and 3 years (when greats usually do) and then suddenly starts winning under Smith - this just doesn't happen. It was observed that he looked bigger at the Anita in 1940, and he died of a heart attack at a fairly young age.
