I've started to learn how to tune organs. It is a lot of fun (in my opinion) and a lot easier than I expected! Even easier than piano tuning, and very difficult to break anything.
What a beautiful organ! I love the pipe facade, what a wonderful place to put 16" pipes!
@Zylstra555 My friend Robert is the tuner, installer, repair man. He is the one playing this organ. This organ was installed in 1904 and has 22 ranks. After being silent for a period of time I think 25 years it was restored in 1997 and as been going strong since.
This is the first time I have heard a "Southern Gospel" type song played on a pipe organ. I have a Roland sound module that has some pipe organ sounds that I use occasionally on my Nord C1. Thanks for posting!
Hum, could be, the instrument was installed in 1904, was silent for 25 years, and about 12 years ago was made playable. You have a good ear. Thanks! :-)
Bruce, This song always gives me chills down the spine, it really sounds GREAT !!! He always plays this one or Down at the Cross, to test out the organ, before and after tuning. Tim
Are you self-tuners?

The tenor g# on the great 4' open diapason sounds about three cents sharp to me. :-)
