  • road runner sports sells these

  • Clean the hoes

  • you use a tablespoon of bleach or baking soda (camelbak recommended) you just rinse it a few times over. don't use paper towel since they can be left in the bladder and clog up you tube, use what the company recommends, they don't do it just for fun or for cash its because it works!

  • You aint meeting nobody on the trail mothufucka

  • On the Camelbak website it says to use hot water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda if you don't have bleach handy. It also says to let it sit for a half hour in the solution. I left water in mine for about a month by accident in my fridge. It got pretty nasty so im giving it a hardcore clean for my hike tomorrow.

  • "since bleach could poison you........ use vinegar. Ok you don't need a lot of bleach probably about 3 to 4 oz."

  • i use lemon juice instead of vinegar. works much better

  • lol has this guy never heard of dish soap?

  • THANKS BRANCH!!!!

  • ...Or, you could use a GEIGERRIG that turns inside out and goes in the top shelf of your dishwasher. Search... "How to clean a geigerrig hydration pack" or "field test: Geigerrig Hydration System" on youtube. Geigerrig won best new hardgoods product at the 2011 Outdoor Retailer Show.

  • @HUBCITYOUTDOOR I am a member of the clymb . com you can get a Geigerrig bladder for 25 dollars. I do not work for the site or anything its just a really good deal. check it out but hurry up they will run out soon.

  • do you do this every time

  • um do you see where your switches are? that doesnt look to safe.

  • can you please! make a video on how to replace the hose with a Camelbak Thermal Control Kit.

  • Good tutorial... how often do they recommended you clean out the bladder?

  • GEIGERRIG hydration engines currently come in two sizes. 100 oz and 70 oz. The spray action is fairly powerful and results in the constant expulsion of water -- therefore not backwash. Also the expulsion of water also allows for flushing tubes during cleaning. Also, the pack can be turned inside out for cleaning. You also really need to see the in-line, carbon based filter, that connects into the drinking tube that filters 50 gallons of water.

  • Have you seen the new GEIGERRIG packs that spray and can be turned inside out for cleaning? The spray action of the GEIGERRIG ensures that the pack is always expelling, which means that there is no backwash in the tube...also good for expelling cleaning agents if you choose to use them. Also, because the system can be turned inside out, it so so easy to clean, dry and refill.

  • @HUBCITYOUTDOOR

No, they sound very interesting. Do they hold 100 ounces?

  • If you don't dry the bladder, it will get dirty ie black. Also, buy a cleaning kit to clean the hose or it will turn black in less than six months.

  • @DustinMarks1 , "dirty"...no! That would be mold not dirt. Also, the advice in the video to hang the bladder to dry in the bathroom is horrible. The bathroom is a place that is festering with mold, mildew and fecal matter. Hang it to dry outside and store in a Ziplock in the freezer.

  • ha dude why do you have to dry it? i just got mine yesterday and have drank like over 2 gallons from it, no water in it now just sitting is that bad?

  • Either bleach or vinegar works, just make sure to rinse well.

  • So 3-4 ounces of vinegar? or bleach? I heard u say bleach -_-* while she's pouring in vinegar.. ??

  • That sounds like a good idea to me.

  • can i use a blow dryer set to no heat to blow air inside and dry it that way? i plan on getting my first camelbak.

  • @mrfazer6 ur better air drying place a pair of spring loaded tongs in the hole it increases drying speed.
