have spax coilovers on the front, and ive got GAZ adjustable rear dampers. ive had it on the rolling road at college and it produced 92.5bhp at the wheels with 98 torques :)
im not some child talking utter bullshit, i have actually put alot of time underneith it on the drive and effort into this car. so whoever negative commented me, fuck you...
yes the rear beam is gti,,, it makes it slightly wider but allows for brake discs... i dont use it on the track so its not madea noticable difference to handling. its jsut nice to have the extra stopping power if needed. ive done this by having the arches slightly rolled. and ive made the needed changed to accomodate the extra width :)
fair doos my friend...fair doos, i have a 205 junior with a 1.4 xs engine, coilovers with a gti rear beam and subframe... i guess you could call it a 1.4 gti junior? haha.
with a kent cam and ashley back box its producing 92bhp at the wheels as its just been rebuilt :)
isnt the 205 gti rear beam wider than the 205 juinior body shell? We are putting a 205 gti beam on the back but its wider than the shell as the gti bodyshell is actually wider.
Also 92 bhp doesnt sound right? is he running coiovers on front?
i know the pre cat ones like mine were 105bhp, this car however started life as a 1.1, and i put the pre-cat xsi lump in it. How ever catalyst merely describes the contents of the converter that 'speed up' the chemical process of replacing carbon monoxide, they are called catalytic converters instead
depends what model your getting. 1.4 95 bhp 1.6 105 bhp... Not a huge power difference but difference in torque. After putting 1600 8v bottom end on my rallye head was a huge difference in power! that with throttle bodies (when i get around to fitting them)
Mine was pre-cat 105 bhp more than the rallye to start with, and this particular car was running a polished, ported, and gas flowed head similar to the rallye, but also a piper ultimate race cam, and bmw k100rs throttle bodies on a straight through magnex exhaust
Bog Bros make the s/s inlet manis
