to light a fire with one hand usind a normal flint you have to place a stick in the ground with the tinder at one side, put your knife crossed on the stick with the blade over the tinder, step with your foot on the handle and use the flint from down to up with one hand over the tinder

love the blast match and thank you for the info about dryer lint i did not think about the different fibers i got very angry because i couldent get my fire going had to go harvest tinder in a blizard

no it did not work as well as i thought but i did not take the child safty stuff off so i dont know if thats the problem
