I was lucky to have seen Zep in their prime right after Presence came out, remains to this day imprinted on my brain my love for Jimmy's playing and sense of composition never fades. Was a different world back then (when magic filled the air) today's bands pale to the old giants but that is my opinion, listening to the music pretty much gave me that opinion. I saw Beck and Pagey at that ARMS show and man I forgot all about Clapton. You never heard such a roar from a crowd when Page came out.
I saw them at both Live-Aid and the Atlantic Records show and each performance was worse than the other. I really felt for the legacy of the band until they finally got it together at the o2. I'm happy for them.
Robert Plant was already done with LZ and moved onto "solo" career...I think cause he lost his LZ voice and was left with his pansy voice (which started showing itself in their last 2 albums on a few songs).
JP started doing soundtracks and living with Crowley's ghost while JPJ kept alive doing multiple projects and producing.
Jason wanted to take his Dad's place, but was too late by this time.
He co-starred in "Rockstar" movie as the drummer (AC) for Steel Dragon. Was he in the band Zebra?
I went to that show…It was so awesome! The sound of Jimmy's guitar was off, must have been mixing or something….it was still great seeing them together…If Plant didn't have such a huge ego he would have gotten back together with Page and Jones…..thanks for the video!
You're all full of it. This was recorded at my house. After I showed Jimmy how to play the song, my mom pulled the plug on the rehearsal and made them all go clean up the dirty dishes they left in the sink. That's my mom (with the beard) at 8:46.
@coltsuperocean10@ludwigking Ludwig King is a tool,That was at Montana Studios in Manhattan 11th ave and 56th,This was the rehearsal for the atlantic records reunion in Nov. 1988, Been in that room many times rehearsing with many bands I have worked for. Hence the Carroll Music on one of the Keyboards, they were one of the big backline rental companies in NYC then. You can feel the energy in that room when ever you walk in it.......... Page also rehearsed there with the Black Crowes.......

I was fortunate enough in my life to have seen Zepplin at their peak in '75-76 Presence tour. Something I will never forget and one of the reasons I still play guitar. This is so rare as to be extinct. John Paul here as well, too cool.
There is a wonderful clip of Jimmy and Robert in a live take of Tea For One I just watched. youtube.com/watch?v=JylchnnO02A&feature=related
there are no bands like this anymore and never will be again. Long live the Kings!
@CarvinTone There was never any tour for the album Presence. Zeppelin did not tour in 1976 because of the injury Plant sustained in the car crash in August 1975. The album Presence came out because they couldn't tour.
@CarvinTone wish i could have seen what u have seen. Many of the best shows will never be viewed by some of us.the few clips i see in 1980 look amazing to like there playing a totally new non-blues based music.
@ludwigking What castle was this then? I know Jimmy owns the tower house, but this cant have been recorded there? Jimmys neighbour, Michael Winner be complaining like mad!!
Hows that for pressure, Plant and Page standing two feet in front of your drum set while facing you doing Zepp songs and you're 22 years old?!?!
Page was only 44 years old here

Would love to know where you got this. Jeez, Robert looks as skinny as Jimmy from the back. That's unusual.

You should put "Misty Mountain Hop" in the title. I bet you will get a lot more hits to this then.
