This video sure brings memories.. i've landed at Kai Tak twice when i was a teen, and the feeling was SPECTACULAR! and the place where we stayed was also (more or less) close to the point where the planes would make that bank, which provided an AWESOME view! man.. too bad i didn't record any of them. the airport is no longer there.. sad, it had so much character but it'll live on forever in our hearts!

amazing to see how those widebodies bank! It's so beautiful, the worst thing that happened in aviation was the closure fo Kai Tak...I agree that the airport was getting saturated and that it was small ,but they could keep it as a secondary airport or something. Well,thank you for your comment =)

i missed Kai Tak. i still brag about how i've been there many times. it's like being to Kai Tak was worth bragging about !!!!

i was 1 yr old when kai tak closed we had a flight their on july 5 ,1998 on the last day. my dad said that to me..
