As you know, one often "rides the light" in ceremony, especially the elemental lightning path in certain circumstances. That's the heritage of these drums in particular, given that they are made from lightning-struck trees.

Beautiful drum. I thought the word beater for drum stick was a deragatory word for the Native Americans?
