When you do the Ultra Combo as the combo ender it adds 18 hits to the combo. To do a combo ender, you must first do at least 2 hits. Therefore, everyone in the game can do at least 20 hits, without even trying! :-P

Anyhow, each character has different maximum combos, so for instance Orchid has really tough 48 hit combo, while Saberwulf has a really tough 32 hit combo, which is more difficult to pull off than Orchid's. Jago's combos are probably the most difficult in the game.

Regarding the rating, the violence in KI is much more cartoony than something like Mortal Kombat II. That said, I don't remember ever seeing a rating when I played this.

Hey, the combo that I am failing to see is The Rooftop camera change video with TJ Combo. This one I in the arcades when Killer Instinct was dying down a little. Some guy was doing the rolling punch, into the Charge Forward then Back Backhand.

And the mid of the combo, TJ launched his opponent in the air with an upppercut, the camera would auto switch to a bird's eye like view looking down on the Rooftop arena and as the opponent came down, TJ Combo did another uppercut, launching his opponent in the air once more for another great show of aerial death.
