It's actually only 1 of a few produced in silver because Chevrolet only produced 202 silver SS 30th anniversary Camaro's in 1997. I still own it and it's just like new. Super low miles. Silver, black stripes, firehawk wheels, black mirrors and B pillar. It Pretty. I still get complements everytime i take it out. Not bad for being 14 years old. It's a timeless body style.

@blazerlover25 In theory, you're supposed to unlatch the tops when ya put a car on a split lift.....just in case the car flexes, it won't shatter the tops...
@MELVINLATE1 I hate to be a fucking asshole, but a built automatic trans will handle more power than any manual will. A good Auto will shift faster and harder than most people can. Just because you drive a stick, doesn't automatically make you a racer.

Lesson learned on the T-Top deal, but better than having them smash and land in your lap and passenger seat. Happened to me when an old man ran a stop sign t-boning me and slamming me into a dirt embankment; my '86 Z28. One word on how your Firebird sounds...VICIOUS.
@rekjavicxxx Yes it was, pi#ed me off more than anything. Just put a new 350 crate engine in it, to replace the lame 305. Had new Bob Glidden drag stars on it, SuperChip...it was nice. No problem on the props...well deserved.

How can you not notice a T-top that's unlatched. How long does it take to double check...3, maybe 4 seconds. I suppose that's why my original T-tops are still on my z28.

Lemme sneak over to your house, unlatch your T-tops without you knowing, then see if you get in your car, sit down and gaze straight up to see if they're latched. Umm, yeah....that's what I thought!

@rekjavicxxx Yes it was, pi#ed me off more than anything. Just put a new 350 crate engine in it, to replace the lame 305. Had new Bob Glidden drag stars on it, SuperChip...it was nice. No problem on the props...well deserved.

That sucks, i had a 3rd gen camaro one time i forgot to latch the top when it started raining, well the next day when i hit 100 going over a bridge...whoooop in the lake it went i was soo pissed

Damn, that sucks!. I had a t top blow off on an on ramp. It probably would have been ok(due to the slow speed on the exit) if not for the F350 behind me running it over. x)

Mine almost hit the Mustang in the first of the video when it flew off! He was trailing the Camaro and I when we were about to do a pull. Glad it didn't fly off and hurt anyone!

How can you not notice a T-top that's unlatched. How long does it take to double check...3, maybe 4 seconds. I suppose that's why my original T-tops are still on my z28.

@stlchucko Yes, let me get in and check to see if the T-tops are latched that I specifically latched last time I drove the car. Lemme sneak over to your house, unlatch your T-tops without you knowing, then see if you get in your car, sit down and gaze straight up to see if they're latched. Umm, yeah....that's what I thought!
