  • @iamthecodofhalo1 gibson all the way maaaan!

I had the 2010 SG Standard it kicks ass, although I found a LP Studio from 1993 and trade it in exchange :-)

  • The Sg sounds pretty awesome as an acoustic too :P.

  • @ererye U can sound better?

  • Um... it should be louder (I know that reads up there ----^

  • only thing missing some fucking great ass pups and a floyd rose

  • @ererye You sound like shit!

  • @ererye This guitar or his playing? Because the guitar is great, and so is his playing? The only problem there could be is that it's not loud enough and you can hear the actual guitar..

  • What kind of amp are you using here?

  • man you need to record something like this again but louder, it sounds hot but I want to listen to you play with some real volume!

  • Turn it up

  • what amp is tht tht sound really good

  • Ear me mate!! Your guitar deserves to FORCE FEED your amp! Your playing deserves to be played and heard through squeeeezed tubes as well since you play with that perfect combination of technique, feel AND attitude. You say you know it should be louder?! Now, do what you know is the right thing to do;-) You should also join a band,....and make sure it is/becomes a gutsy rock`n one to match your style! Keep it up:-)

  • The Only Bad thing of the Sg is. IF YOU HAVE A GIBSON SG PLZ DONT BUY A CREPPY AMP. XD. a line 6 of 70 whatss or 100 whatss its enough for it. But nothing of washburn of 30 watss e.e

  • I've got one too, but i don't like it that much, am i missing something? It plays great but i think it's the styling that i have a problem with.

  • Turn up the fucking volume!

  • Just got mine 2 weeks ago great playability, and your great! But turn it up

  • I love your playin man, but turn up the volume of your amp!!!

  • eas up on the strings turn the volume up, but on the bright side GREAT PLAYING

  • I would buy the red one but its so hard to find one with nice grain and color these days like his. Im going to get ebony.

  • @eatthemoon13 I scored a white one last Oct - this gtr is quite the player. I also have a 73 black one (formerly cherry) and a 71 SG 250 Nothing beats an SG!

  • my dream guitar is this guitar

  • should be louder. jk

    but seriously.

  • The Gibson SG = the only Wonder of the World.

  • this guitar keeps amazing me

  • nice playin and very nice guitar :)

  • @iconoclast911 i got it for my birthday i paid about 950 for it

its in good condition with about 2 or stratches from my family members playing with it mine is red with a white pick guard

  • so cool! thanks!!^^

  • A guitar with untrimmed strings is like a woman with bush. That's not my taste.

  • Very nice tone. What amp? Stock pickups?

  • LOOK AT MY SG JAM!

  • Please please please.... turn your amp up!

  • thats lovevly, but cut the strings down on your head stock! look more neater!

  • no! it looks badass!

  • @prophetdude2 i like wavy strings on guitars like Kramers and ESP's not really Gibsons, ive built to much respect for them :P!!! lol

  • it still looks badass....

  • opinions are like ass holes dude, we all have em lol

  • omg it sounds like a strat^^

  • that is the worlds most awesome guitar

  • I know, but why would you buy an another guitar?

I see (maybe) in our band I am the one that wan`t it the most, but ye like you said. It is the best guitar in the world! :-D

  • Agreed, I want one soooooooooo bad.

  • @guitarLessons44 yes. and i own a gibson sg standard herritage cherry!!!

  • you just can`t have enough of an SG :X:X:X:X

  • for me LPs are beatifulls and lovelys.

But SGs are the hottest girls! And you will have more passion with them!!

  • @unaibeasko why not have both haha ;)

  • beautiful guitar

  • @alkleiza1995

Ive got an Sg epiphone myself and its pretty good its very versatible, you can play everything you want, but just stay calm when you gon on metal, because the sg is more a soul and feeling guitar

    Sorry for my bad english

    :)

  • in every video, people play rock (ac dc style and stuff) not a negative remark on you, you play really good. but can you also play metal with it (metallica sound)?

plz help me out i want to buy a gibson sg but i can't choose between the standard and special

  • standard feels a bit better looks better and sound just a bit better

  • You can get them for about $1200

  • Does the Gibson SG standard have Low Action?

  • yeah it is pretty low stock.. you can lower it more pretty easily if you want more twang.

  • Is the gibson sg an overall good guitar?

  • Yes! It doesn't have the balls the Les Paul as though, if you want tone, go with the Les Paul

  • @lighteningboy For me, Les Paul>SG, but SG>all other guitars (excl. Les Paul =D)

  • how much is a usa standared sg

  • About 1500$-1700$

  • how much is that in euro

  • well its about 700 pounds so i gess 800-1000

  • thanks thats savage

  • Dude ! not so bad ! i like it

  • This sounds like an acoustic guitar with backingtrack :) But great playing dude!

  • yeah a little louder. The natural acoustics of the guitar is almost as loud

  • Yeah man, you should be louder... ;) Nice job

  • i really love the Sg its a very versataile guitar and it feels great to play im getting one soon right now i have an epi les paul the sg has about the tonal range of a les paul without the weight and the giant heel that blocks the high frets

  • shold i get this or the epiphone slash les paul?? help, im torn between them--- J.R

  • Get a Gibson. They re made in USA , epi in China.

SG is a very good guitar. Srry for my english, but im from poland :)

  • ok, thats true... thanks :)

  • Epi is Taiwan...

  • depends what u want to play

if you prefer blues get the les paul

if you prefer rock n roll get the sg

but dont forget if you take one, you will be able to buy the other one later on ...

  • deffently SG epiphone is a less expensive guitar :) and i dont just say it because i have the SG standard myself ;)

  • ofcourse ull get the sg !!!!

  • what kind of strings you have on that i can really hear a big part in the guitar

  • hye can any1 tell me how much this guitar costs? an estimate would be nice plz

  • ermm in US dollars brand new would be like 1075$ roudn that way in UK pounds u can get them for like 800£ and onwards but the best site is ebay go on there and search u can get some good deals and shit :)

  • Yeah in england about 900 quid from most websites. Usually a little more but there we goooo. I got mine from eBay last month its in perfect condition played less than 5 times when i got it and the strings had never been changed! But here is the coolest part. It set me back £666 including postage and packaging!!!!!! :)

  • im getting this guitar shipped to me on friday, cant wait, i also got a line 6 spider 4 150 watt with it so its gonna sound kick ass!

  • God how i envy you you lucky bastard

  • im getting one soon, cause i asked my grandma for $1000 and she did, i already have 400, i only need 200 more:)

  • cazzo ke bravo ke sei!

  • is there an sg standard like that in wine red?

    i dont mean the special!

  • yes, Heritage Cherry

  • I don't think so

  • Good tone and skill,as you said needs more volume but that´s very good at all

  • is that a who riff.....? i dig it. i need to pick up an SG

  • what gauge strings do you use?

  • The Gibson SG=9th Wonder of the World

  • Whats the 8 th?

  • @parisianUK the Fender Telecaster

  • @JuliaZeppelin Whats the 8th?

  • @lolicrap

The Les Paul or Stratocaster or JS1000

up to opinion i guess :)

  • @lolicrap Les Pauls =)

  • @JuliaZeppelin Im getting that at my konfi cool ?

  • Turn it up louder i hate hearin that pick hit the strings. other than that 5/5

  • I agree. It's a horrible sound. I don't hear it as much when I use a thicker bass pick instead.

  • ya, so a thicker pick works better

  • Well, some do, some don't. I use a Jim Dunlop Big Stubby 3.0 mm pick. This works fine. However, I have a grey rubbery pick that is terrible- it hardly fit's betwen the strings!

  • oh, i think ill jus stick to....TURNING IT FUCKIN LOUD!

  • Always best!

  • ahaha

  • AMEN

  • Great tone !

  • Is this a good guitar to play stuff like metallica with????? if not then what

  • It's good for rockmusic, but also System of a Down.

  • its great to play with metalica but jackson guitars are prob better for mettallica

  • its not really the guitar that will allow you to play metallica. although the wood does have an affect on the tone. the pickups is what you need to look into. these are some pretty highout put pickups. you can play metallica with these. i have this guitar and i always play metallica. no prob. but you also need a high gain amp.

  • not really, i would say ibanez or jackson is the best brands?

  • u cant be sane...

  • I'd choose a gibosn over a ibanez anytime a day tbh

  • yeah same but for metal songs i wouldnt use a gibson

  • hey wot does tbh mean?

  • To Be Honest

  • oh lol thnx

  • @doomyman7 Ibanez

  • nice playing and awesome guitar! i always wanted one

    just gotta keep saving up

  • thats how u put an sg to use. play ur own shit, nice, i dont have enough money to get one myself, but im doin alright with a nock off

  • ...you are jumping someone-eslses train...

  • ur guitar is louder than your amp

  • do you recommend that guitar over a es-330

  • if ur playing blues, if not this is better for rock

  • depends on what you play

  • woot great playing man

  • haha very good. but FOR GODS SAKE TURN IT UP. ud sound 30000 times better

  • how much!!!

  • got any tabs? that would be awsome!

  • haha, i kinda love the sound, when you also can hear the strings louder than the sound from the amp.

  • Hey dude u gotta turn ur amp up.

  • matrags! Have you thought about getting heavier strings? I have a lot of experience of experimenatation with strings and it sounds like you need more resistance. :)

  • Resistance?????? Been playing for over 30 years and never heard that recommendation before. LOL!!!

When changing my setup, I usually go for sound or tone adjustment, and changing over heavier gauge strings is to get more bottom end tone.

I use GHS TNT Boomers, 10 to 52 as I like the tone I get on my SG Classic.

  • ew string noise

    mic your amp man!

  • i personally prefer the les paul. both exceptional guitars though

  • As for me, my first electric guitar after years of acoustics was a SG. Now when I try to play on a Les Paul, it always feels a little incomfortable, because i´m used to the shape of a SG. I wouldn´t want to swap. The sound of both is very similar, though

  • i would play zeppelin if i were you with that beauty

  • hey i have an sg standard as well. i was wondering wat amp you play your guitar through. I am looking for a good amp (tube) for under 1400 possibly used. Btw great vids.

  • I used a Marshall 8080 on this one but I don't recommend them as they lose a lot of tone at higher volumes.

  • How long have you been playing?

  • is it possible to put a whammy bar in this guitar?

  • Idk maybe, but i wouldnt put one in. This guitar stays in tune for a very long time and whammy bars make guitars go out of tune faster. If you want a whammy bar sound with out the out of tune thing or the bar getting in your way, pedals are very helpful.

  • on the older ones they have whammy bars such as the ones that Angus Young played with

  • damn that was good playing man. I'm getting one of these soon. I just wish I could play as good as you. :(

  • and nice guitar

  • i have a gibson sg with angus young signature:D

  • niiiice playin. i envy you sooo much. i would just about do anything for that guitar but i dont have the money. I seriously would prostitute myself for it. and yes i am male. NICE PLAYING.

  • great playing!

  • Loving the jam that you start at 0:24!

  • how is the sg to play on from a les paul have a plan to buy.who is the easiest to play on

  • SG definately, The cut away makes it easier to play higher frets, teh sg is uber light, thinner neck, and just easier to play:D

  • oh and its A LOT lighter than the Les Paul
