  • Black gays & lesbians invisible? WRONG. James Baldwin (1940's - 1980's), Bayard Rustin (1930's - 1970's), Audre Lorde (1960's-1980's), Alice Dunbar Nelson (early 1900's-1930's), Richard Bruce Nugent (1920's - 1970's) Sgt. Perry Watkins (1960's-1990's) and countless other black LGBTQ persons have stood out front on gay issues long before 2010. The video acts as if the black LGBTQ community has been invisible. White washing gay history, as usual. In spite of that: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

  • I think you guys need to come to Indiana, I can think of about 8 black men and women not only in the in the LGBTQ community but actively involved in the social and fund razing community. I never even thought about it until I saw this, they are just people I've known as friends and people I'm proud to know.
