@hinwer no, theres bedrock at the top, and i used a noclip mod for testing purposes only(it allows u to go through blocks" and the bedrock at the top is endless, and theres no way out of the nether except by portal.

You specifically need to use a flint 'n' steel for it to work. And you can't hold burning objects.
