sigma and sonia kashuk brushes are more affordable than mac and very good quality brushes, check out coastal scents for some good affordable pallettes when you start out with makeup, once you get ur technique down, then get some high end eyeshadows, you dont really need mac brushes.

Once you learn the technique, it's easy. you don't even necessarily need to buy MAC. Any decent eye shadow will do. I'd advise to buy a decent set of brushes, learn how to use them and done.

The tutorial is long because they are emphasizing the brushes and products used. That way those that want this exact look to use often can go purchase what they lack knowing it's the correct items. And the main thing people don't know how to apply properly is lashes, so editing that out would be stupid. Also, Kim Kardashian is hardly ever seen without them on, so it would be false to show the end product and them just have appeared.

@ohitsvania It's not really a lot of makeup considering each part is only about 4 minutes long. That adds up to about 16 minutes. Beauty Gurus on youtube generally take 10 minutes just to show us how to do our eyeshadow and they edit out the false lash application.

@ohitsvania you know what I realized it's not that it's a lot of make up as much as it's very detailed and the videos are pretty short. They could have made one 20 minutes video but it's so much easier to sit through a short five min vid; especially you're only interested in a few steps. :)
