... we must have different standards for speed then... I consider fast to be realtime :P anything slower than 1 second per frame is slow to me... Last time I rendered something in 3D, I thought it was crazy slow... 1 min per frame D:
hi,how many particles are there? or how much did you set your emmit rate? cause when i render this thing out ,it either too dark or too much big debries (my with 80000 particles)
I've found with things like this you don't want too many particles because it looks more like a gas than real particles, I can't remember how many particles I actually used but it would be around 100,000-200,000 (most were stuck to the letters or going off the screen)
It's hard to get the right ratio of number of particles to particle size
Cheers mate, that was very organic and exactly what you would want to see in an Particle anim. Nice way to end it. You had me the whole way. Awesome!! Blender?
Yes... And it is REALLY easy. Just use a texture as emitter for the particles. That way you get the text. Make them die after a while or you will kill your computer. You can choose to use mayas glowshader or do that in post. The most important thing to get this effect is to click color accumulation. That will give the effect of more color where there is more particles. Easy as pie.
What material/attributes did you use to make the particles glow? I've been experimenting with particles [as you can see on my page], but this just looks prettier. Give me you secrets!
What did you use for the glow? Fusion? And you said: composited in Fusion, what did you need to composite, isn't it just one pass? Or did you just mean apply the glow effect?

Why are you scared to use particle stuff ind 3ds max?
Farquarl2 1 year ago
@Farquarl2 coz to many particles in max shut down my application due to overloading. also it is easy to do in maya.

finalart2005 4 years ago
it was just one white particle pass, yeah probably shouldn't use composite =P
