Luke's family especially his grandmother at the farm were strict and had rules. It was good watching Luke and Noah who also wanted to take their time maybe due to writers but Soaps are well known for airing the views and up to date feelings around the world and not just in their own country. Reality is guys fall in love soap can't hide from this nor can it hide in old characters that appeared in 'Soap' which was brill comedy but surely characters have to reflect present day reality which it did
I stopped watching CBS shows long before this controversy. Mostly out of boredom and better choices elsewhere. This show is gone. You would think that eventually CBS would stop catering to the over 65 crowd and produce something a little more daring. On a different note, the Ben guy is an idiot. I was angry watching this video. I've recently been watching the Luke and Noah storyline and I've been disappointed because I feel that if a straight couple in these soap opera's can make out numerous times in one episode why can't a gay couple kiss when we know they would normally. Everything in a soap opera is exaggerated times 10 but not a simple gay relationship which in turn is downplayed. I personally feel gay couples should be portrayed more honestly.

I disagree...I lived in Europe for awhile, and there are plenty of places in Europe where it is as much of an issue as in the u.s., if not more. The U.S. has been a vanguard of the development of the gay (along with Germany) for quite awhile. And folks in Europe acknowledge that.

So before this, only girl/girl kissing was allowed... That is a little bit hypocritical. The only real difference was that this was scripted. (non-scripted example being the Real World) Why was there so much buzz over something that ought to have been accepted in society from day 1? Sure soap operas don't normally (or as far as I've heard) have too much gay people in them, but why should that matter? This was a buzz over nothing.

I was angry watching this video. I've recently been watching the Luke and Noah storyline and I've been disappointed because I feel that if a straight couple in these soap opera's can make out numerous times in one episode why can't a gay couple kiss when we know they would normally. Everything in a soap opera is exaggerated times 10 but not a simple gay relationship which in turn is downplayed. I personally feel gay couples should be portrayed more honestly.

I don't get that conservative guy! I think it is just really strange for two people in love not to kiss. and ATWT is showing heteosexuel couples kiss, aren't they. so it shouldn't be such a big deal! well maybe it's just the US. I know this much. it's would not be such a big deal here in holland. but than I don't get to see much dutch gay couples in dutch tv series anyway. it's just really unrealistic all over the world I guess. gay people are everywhere. if they like it or not!
