@SpecialColector Lady Gaga puts on ridiculous outfits to show how "original" and how much of a "nonconformist" she is. Dressing up as a guy does not make your music sound better. In reality she has a generic sound just like almost every other pop singer these days. Bob Marley influenced so many artists and gives such relaxing and proactive messages in his tunes. As for the junkie part of your comment he smoked weed. He was chill as fuck. Not even close to a junkie. Bob wouldn't want you here.

@deweypug no the vocals are definitely not synced hes singing ever word. The guitar at the end seems added though but it dosent sound like the stuido version so idk.
Such a classic performance by the original Wailers. I love the dry, percussive sound. 1973 was a golden year for reggae. It's hard to believe it's been nearly 40 years since then. Catch A Fire is as fresh and relevant as ever. Long live the Wailers!

I thought the Herb was used in a sacred sense, as in spiritual enlightenment, and not just for empty "kicks" or entertainment. Real Rastas are spiritual, more than "conventional" religion?
every time iam feeling down,i just listen to this song, and i fell good.but i am not sure who is doing that great solo, organist or peter???thats one of the best solo i have ever heard.
This video to me is a classic example of what people like Bob Marley, The Band and a few others were doing at that time in music, stipping down all the BS to its roots. To some this song may be boring but to me there are so many things going on in this song it never gets old.
Dare I say that I believe that only three people are actually playing istruments in these performaces, the organist, the base guitarist, and the drummer. I wonder where that organ player is today, he is amazing.

@TheBakewellPie GREAT RESPONSE!-his question with regard to the Whailers would be the equivalent of someone asking:" WHO ARE THOSE OTHER THREE GUYS WITH JOHN LENNON?...the guy on bass, the lead guitarist, and the drummer? Thanks for guarding the legend.
@nate63able hardly man! two of those other brits had extremely successful solo careers. now while they probably did try to do their own thing i doubt they ever peeked out from behind bobs shadow the way paul did
the program producers thought this little known reggae band could not be disciplined and play tight enough for tv.. thats why the performance is so restrained.
this was a massive oppertunity for them, but they had to prove they were master musicians, they nailed it and the rest as they say....
