soaps are struggling at the moment (but ATWT is 3rd in the ratings so lets hope they arent in too much trouble) but also i think that the reason he's not contracted is the fact that noah is only there for luke, if luke didn't exist noah wouldn't, you know what i mean...

where as you could write noah out but still have luke (he is a snyder after all, and they're one of them big soap families)

I talked to Jake briefly at the fan luncheon last Spring. He said fans shouldn't worry about contract status. Some actors prefer not to be a contract character anyway.

But I agree that the writers need to develope Noah's character more and give him an identity that's seperate from Luke.
